Sissy Analyzes Random Things: Sissy Rambles About AEW Matches in 2022 (Part 8: October-November)

--

October and November, huh? Well, what'd you miss?

January and Feburary? Right here.
March? Go here.
April? It's over here.
May? Enjoy it here.
June? It's here.
July and August? Here.
September? Read it here.

I've realized that I've also missed mentioning a few matches in October, but this list is solid enough as well.

----

October

Match of the Month

Men: It's a tie for this month. I could not decide which was better, so... I'm putting them both into this section.

October 5 (Dynamite Anniversary) - Wardlow vs. Brian Cage (TNT Championship Match)

I'm... fucking speechless.

And you know what I'm going to say next, correct?

Indeed.

Do not watch the clips, because the clips will do this no justice. Watch the entire damn match.

-

October 12 (Dynamite) - PAC vs. Orange Cassidy (Part IV... holy shit.) (AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match)

"And Cassidy isn't dumb. He knows that he got cheated out of that belt. They'll meet up in the ring again, and it's going to be a glorious mess."

And look what just fucking happened!

RIP, 2PAC. Here's your new All-Atlantic... something or other. Whatever.

Seriously, this is Orange Cassidy's first belt in AEW. His first belt! His fans must be losing their shit right now, and they have every reason to do so!

I can't believe that he has a belt. I'm shocked and elated.

Also, this has since convinced me of a very obvious fact that I haven't mentioned until now; PAC can certainly sell the everloving hell out of a DDT.

Women: October 25 (Dark) - Riho vs. Jungle Kyona

Honestly, either way, Riho was going to be one half of the match of the month. Even more proof that people need to quit shitting on joshi wrestlers.

--

Honorable Mentions - Men

October 5 (Dynamite Anniversary) - MJF vs. Wheeler Yuta

Max's record is still trash. And yet... he is currently sharing the #1 Contender rank with Hangman, who clearly has a better singles record than he does.

Oh, Max finally won? It's his first win since February?

Nice! Neat! 2-4 is still trash! Time to make it less trash! Get going!

-

October 5 (Dynamite Anniversary) - Rush vs. "Hangman" Adam Page

No, fangirls, please do not ask to scissor the cowboy. He's a married man. He has a kid. We all need to behave ourselves. Thank you.

And cue me being a complete dumbass fangirl my own damn self and giggling about this in the background... okay, that's enough. Anyway, I have a dumb story to share when this match was announced on the Rampage before this one. I got so excited that the cowboy had a match that I said the following:

"Oh, I gotta circle Wednesday! Wait, which Wednesday do I circle?!"

I had my little ditz moment since there were no more weeks in September 2022. I'm now known in my circle of friends for this small bout of idiocy.

Oh, wait, you wanted my opinion on the match, yeah? Yeah. Okay. Uh... my fangirl bias put this here. Also, seeing more Rush is good.

-

October 7 (Battle of the Belts IV) - PAC vs. Trent Beretta (AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match)

Credit to our favorite Mister Bastard, he had another match right before this one! 2PAC's pulling double duty! He initially wasn't supposed to do that. In fact, he was only slated to duke it out with Trent. His impromptu Trios match only happened because Andrade decided to try to get fired by being a dummy (and for details on that, scroll down).

I do not understand The Bastard's obsession with that ring bell hammer, but it's becoming a weirdly endearing gimmick.

-

October 7 (Battle of the Belts IV) - FTR vs. Gates of Agony (ROH World Tag Team Championship Match)

Because... come on, it's goddamn FTR.

-

October 11 (Dark) - QT Marshall vs. Action Andretti

Y'know, it's officially time that we stopped shitting on QT Marshall... the person. I get shitting on the character, because that's the whole gimmick with him. Nobody really gives a damn on what he has to say, really.

And yet, that part's becoming kind of fun, too.

And yet, there's also the hidden elevation that he does as well. This match was less about seeing QT, but seeing what Andretti could do. And that was the entire point of this match.

-

October 12 (Dynamite) - Jungle Boy vs. Luchasaurus

That hurt when I wrote that. At least when FTR faced each other in the Owen Hart Cup, they'd still be best buds and tag team partners afterwards.

-

October 18 (Dark) - Dante Martin vs. QT Marshall

Who put this Dynamite style match here? Seriously.

-

October 18 (Dynamite - Title Tuesday) - Death Triangle vs. Best Friends (Part... II? Beyond Part II? Something?) (AEW World Trios Championship Match)

I know that we talk about the rivalry between Death Triangle and the House of Black, but... isn't this rivalry older? I think we should touch base with these folks in a storyline sometime down the road again.

-

October 18 (Dynamite - Title Tuesday) - Chris Jericho vs. Dalton Castle (ROH World Championship Match)

God, I love Dalton Castle. This was a fun match to watch, even if I knew who was going to win in the end.

-

October 21 (Rampage) - Orange Cassidy vs. Rush vs. 10 (AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match; Triple Threat)

The match was originally supposed to be Rush vs. 10, but Cassidy had to casually mention defending the belt. That he just won. In Canada. Thank you for booking it, Tony.

-

October 24 (Dark Elevation) - Varsity Blonds vs. The Workhorsemen

Yes, yes, I'm aware that they're called "The Blonds" because of Mark Sterling's antics, but their graphics still call them the Varsity Blonds. So I do not give a shit.

-

October 26 (Dynamite) - ...all of the men's matches. Yes, all of them.

The JAS lost tonight?

The world title match was great?

The #1 Contendership match was great? About that one... let's be honest, if FTR won, it would be a lose-lose match, unfortunately. Yes, people want to see the Living Legends get the belts back one day, but... The Acclaimed are incredibly popular.

Honorable Mentions - Women

October 5 (Dynamite Anniversary) - Toni Storm, Athena, and Willow Nightingale vs. Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb, and Penelope Ford

Time to be blunt.

These women are busting their asses to make this division better. Highly impressive tag match.

I swear, every time I get disappointed in the division, the talent keeps bringing me back.

Unfortunately, this also means that I'm expecting more shoddy stories in the future, and it's not even the fault of the performers.

-

October 7 (Battle of the Belts IV) - Jade Cargill vs. Willow Nightingale (Part II) (TBS Championship Match)

Second verse, same as the first.

...what do you mean that Nyla stole the belt?

Well, damn. This is going to be incredibly dumb. I'm in.

-

October 11 (Dark) - Toni Storm vs. Emi Sakura (Part II) (AEW Interim Women's World Championship Eliminator Match; if Sakura won, she'd be able to get a title shot on the Oct. 14 edition of Rampage.)

Seriously, it pains me to see good women's matches on Dark, and just one quick match on Dynamite and Rampage.

-

October 14 (Rampage) - Nyla Rose vs. Anna Jay A.S. (Um... "TBS Championship Match"...?)

Goddammit, Nyla. She's so damn ridiculous and I love her for it.

-

October 17 (Dark Elevation) - Athena vs. Jody Threat

Ooh, this match caused a certain someone who I will not name to clutch their pearls and say something incredibly racist. So, uh... fuck that person.

Turns out that this has also caused Athena to embrace getting some heel heat (since it turned out that Jody is a hometown wrestler). Let's see where that goes.

-

October 18 (Dynamite - Title Tuesday) - Toni Storm vs. Hikaru Shida (AEW Interim Women's World Championship Match)

You know, it was better when it was "and", not "vs."

But they still delivered.

-

October 21 (Rampage) - Leila Grey vs. Willow Nightingale

...fucking finally! Willow has been signed!

Y'all know I've been complaining about this for months, now I can finally do two things: celebrate, and shut up about it!

-

October 25 (Dark) - Athena vs. Alexia Nicole

Very short, but very sweet.

Alexia Nicole won the audience over in mere seconds.

-

October 26 (Dynamite) - Riho vs. Jamie Hayter

Still not super stoked about someone coming back only to lose.

Also not super stoked about two popular combatants in the ring, and one of them had to lose.

I am stoked that they delivered, though.

--

"Because I liked it, okay?" Mentions

October 3 (Dark Elevation) - All of it.

Because splitting it into pieces would take too long, so I'm putting the whole damn thing in here because I'm lazy. Consider this to be a comfort hour of sorts.

-

October 5 (Dynamite Anniversary) - It's National Scissoring Day!

Because we all liked it.

This segment was insanely dumb. By the way, that's a compliment!

This segment had everything that the best AEW segments usually have, and I lived for all of it.

Also, bonus points for "Rock beats scissors" from Swerve, followed by the "paper covers rock" jab by Sterling.

-

October 10 (Dark Elevation) - Brandon Cutler vs. Serpentico

..you already know. If you need something lighthearted and dumb, this will be it.

-

October 11 (Dark) - Marina Shafir vs. Hikaru Shida

Because... honestly? Marina was actually doing just fine in this match!

-

October 12 (Dynamite) - The Duality of Max.

I think we're not seeing a slimy villain, but a very slow deconstruction of it. Don't get me wrong, we all know that he's still a jerk, but he's visibly becoming a complicated one.

Though this will get people thinking, this was not the promo that got people talking that night.

-

October 12 (Dynamite) - Face to face. Man to man.

"I'm angry! I'm frustrated! I can't sleep at night! I'm anxious! I'm depressed! The medicine is not working, but I am still here, because I am a man!"

This got people talking that night. So to all y'all dorks who said that Hangman wasn't good on the mic? Apologize. Right the fuck now.

True, he's not MJF tier. True, he's not Eddie tier. True, he's also not Mox tier. They're known for their skill in talking trash, which is something that the cowboy technically doesn't have.

But when the man speaks from the heart, that shit hits. He sells that shit because he's relatable. That is why people love Adam Page.

This promo got super personal to me. I literally shelved my fangirling once the heavy parts hit.

I nearly cried. Hell, I bet that this promo actually made someone cry.

He... reminds me of someone who I love very much, too. And he goes through the same anxieties and frustrations as well.

However, no matter what happens on October 18, I will say this one important thing... win or lose, I will always root for my favorite Anxious Millennial Cowboy.

Oh, and don't even think for a single second that I forgot about Mox. He wanted to know one simple thing: Where's the man who knocked him off the ladder a year ago? The man who returned with a clearer mind to get the belt that he's currently holding? Also note that he didn't even try to demand respect. He never put his challenger down. He let him speak his words.

However, will this man be the catalyst for the cowboy's next arc of his battle against... himself? Remember that this is the same man who unintentionally amplified the worst of one Kenny Omega.

It's rare that I get to do this, too. Watch it here.

(And then we fast forward to October 18, and, well... shit. Scroll down for thoughts on that unfortunate result.)

-

October 18 (Dynamite) - The Duality of Max (Part II: Maxwell Jacob Friedman and William Regal)

I... I have no words. Again, it's rare that I get to do this. Watch it here.

-

October 21 (Rampage) - Hook vs. Ari Daivari (FTW Championship Match)

No, $50,000 will not buy you a belt.

Shit, considering that the previous holder of the belt was goddamn Ricky Starks, that's at least worth $200,000.

Can't believe that the so-called "richest man in AEW" is a damn frugal one. For shame.

-

October 25 (Dark) - Emi Sakura and Serena Deeb vs. Taylor Rising and KC Spinelli

Not half bad, actually. Pretty much enjoyed this match a bit.

-

October 25 (Dark) - Lucha Brothers vs. The Workhorsemen

You already know what I'm going to say, yes?

The Workhorsemen have and always will be underrated.

-

Just... any Jade Cargill match in general - Jade's pump kick.

It's not even her finisher! But seriously, her pump kick is a thing of beauty. I love it. Nothing more needs to be said here.

--

"Oh, god, oh, fuck... literally!" Mentions

October 18 (Dynamite - Title Tuesday) - Jon Moxley vs. "Hangman" Adam Page (AEW World Championship Match)

"Hangman, you guys are going to be in Cincinatti..."

"Ah, shit."

You know, maybe we should stop giving the cowboy news like this when he's trying to get all fired up for a big match. Just saying. And I do not want to hear any bitching about how "this makes him look weak". I've already ranted about that in February, so go back to Part 1 if you care. The only real changes are that Hangman doesn't have the belt and his lower third graphics stopped making fun of him back in March.

The match itself? Hmm... well, the match was actually going great, to be honest (hello to the moonsault from the crowd!). Unfortunately...

Hangman got injured mid-way through the match and had to be carried out on a stretcher.

Fuck.

Of all the injuries that made the list this year, this was the one that literally made it feel like the world stopped. This has nothing to do with my bias, either. A lot of people understandably freaked out.

Seeing that play out on live television scared the complete shit out of me. We are all incredibly lucky that it was only a concussion and that he was discharged out of the hospital, because the way that looked could've ended up to be much worse than that. I thought that the man's neck was legitimately broken at first since he didn't move after that hard hit and fall.

I'm so crushed right now. I already know that what I said in the "Oh, god, oh, fuck!" section back in Part 7 did not age well at all.

Give credit to the ref who recognized the signs immediately and stopped the match. I know that I snark on Paul Turner a lot and call him "blindest ref" because of the heel shenanigans in other matches, but proper credit must be given in this situation.

Give credit to Doc Sampson and the medical staff who acted quickly.

Of course, also give credit to one Jon Moxley. However, he does the usual thing that I often forget to give the proper credit for, and that's proper improv. He, just like the rest of us sane people who aren't making shitty "jokes" about the cowboy's injury, are legitimately wishing him a speedy recovery. This is yet another reason why I respect this man.

I also do have to mention how I loved Mox's reactions when he was getting annoyed at the microphone constantly cutting out on him.

And yes, I've also seen shit flung Mox's way for all of this as well. Don't do that. He didn't maliciously do this.

We all love you, Hangy. Get well soon.

It says a lot when the crowd initially booed the man (of course, they were in Mox's hometown, so that was definitely going to happen!), to chanting "Cowboy Shit!" when all was said and done.

--

"We got a real problem here." Mentions

October 12 (Dynamite) - ...haven't we seen these women before...?

This argument will not include Toni Storm, since she's the interim champion. Makes sense that we're going to get a lot of Toni Time because of it.

Was this tag match good? Yes.

Was this tag match meant to happen? Also yes.

However, we've seen all of them... in a Fatal 4-Way for the Interim Women's title... at All Out... on September 4.

So you know what I'm going to say, yes?

Yes.

You have a whole fucking division! Use them, for fuck's sake!

"This shit ain't good at all." Mentions

October 5 (Dynamite Anniversary) - Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara ("Le Sex Gods") vs. Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia (Yes, get your "Daniel Bryan" and "Daniel Danielson" jokes out now.)

I thought that I wouldn't have to add this.

It's not the match itself. Nobody was bad in the ring. I'm still stunned at Chris Jericho still being able to do those moves at fifty-fucking-one years old. It's what happened before and after the match.

Before the match, it was said that Sammy and Andrade got into a fistfight long before this episode of Dynamite aired.

Andrade gets sent home. Sammy still gets to main event the episode of Dynamite. This sets off the double standard alarms, thanks to the "Brawl Out" from last month, where all parties were suspended. Also note that Sammy did not get suspended after his altercation with Eddie Kingston. Granted, the two did hash it out and their match (which was originally scheduled for the All Out Zero Hour) took place later in the month at the Rampage Grand Slam, but the fact still stands.

And then the team of Sammy and Jericho actually fucking win. Even worse? Sammy does the pinfall.

Want to know why this shit ain't good at all (aside from the fact that the Boring Invincible Villain Society wins once again)? Look at Jericho's face after the match ends. Granted, it's supposed to represent his conflicted feelings on Garcia leaving the JAS, but also note that he barely celebrates with the group like he usually does.

Also, the crowd was dead fucking silent. That's even worse than boos.

After the dust settled, the truth came to light: Sammy apparently didn't throw a single punch at all. Turns out that if he did, he wouldn't have been in the main event to begin with!

However, he still ended up with Go Away Heat, because a lie has the time to fly around the world before the truth can get its pants on.

Luckily, this was the only small sour point of the night. Everything before this match happened was beyond stellar.

(And this gets even worse; Sammy has now gotten death threats over this. Look, you can say that you can't stand the man, you can say that you can find him annoying, I get it. But seriously, death threats?! Come on, people. What the fuck is wrong with y'all?!)

November

Match of the Month

Men: November 19 (Full Gear) - Death Triangle vs. The Elite (Trios Championship Match)
(Fun fact: The Young Bucks still have a perfect attendance record in PPVs. And to think that a certain someone almost ruined that feat, too...)

And it's only the beginning. Welcome back, y'all. The fans missed you... and they surely confirmed that with the "Fuck CM Punk!" chants, holy shit.

I will confess: The Young Bucks are not my favorite tag team in AEW, but I don't hate them at all. I will commend their off the wall storytelling abilities and their amazing rivalry with the Lucha Brothers.

So it's no surprise that all six of these men overdelivered.

And it was an even bigger surprise that this is the first match... out of a set of seven.

Well.

Shit.

I'm game.

Women: November 19 (Full Gear) - Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayter (Part II) (AEW Interim Women's World Championship Match)

This was hard-hitting and nothing short of amazing. I love Toni Storm, I really do. Hell, "Watch What's Next" is my phone's ringtone! (And if you're wondering about another certain person's theme... that's my alarm.)

But I'm also happy and in sheer disbelief that Jamie Hayter finally has a damn belt.

I was even happier when I found out that not only will the "Interim" title be dropped from Jamie's reign, it will also be dropped from Toni's reign. I really do want Rosa to get well soon, but I'm elated that there's no "interim" stuff as well.

--

Honorable Mentions - Men

November 1 (Dark) - Dante Martin vs. Encore

There's something about this match. Pretty damn good, honestly.

-

November 1 (Dark) - Rey Fenix vs. AR Fox

...sign AR Fox. Put him in ROH or something. Enough said.

-

November 2 (Dynamite) - Darby Allin vs. Jay Lethal (Part II)

...let's be honest, the only real takeaway from this thing was Darby bouncing off of Satnam Singh like a beach ball.

Match was good, though.

-

November 2 (Dynamite) - Jon Moxley vs. Lee Moriarty (AEW World Championship Eliminator Match)

Moriarty's gonna end up with a belt one day. I just know it. If he managed to keep up with Bryan Danielson and then Jon Moxley? Yeah, he's got nowhere to go but up.

-

November 2 (Dynamite) - Orange Cassidy vs. Luchasaurus vs. Rey Fenix (AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match; Triple Threat)

I love how Luchasaurus has no flag listed. Amazing.

This is nuts. That's a compliment.

-

November 2 (Dynamite) - Samoa Joe vs. Brian Cage (ROH Television Championship Match)

...because big meaty men are slapping meat. Nothing more needs to be said.

-

November 4 (Rampage) - Orange Cassidy vs. Katsuyori Shibata (AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match)

You survive a subdural hematoma.

Then once you're cleared, you have a match with "The King of Sloth Style".

Sounds crazy enough to work.

And it did.

Might as well do yourself a favor and watch this match. Not the clips. The match.

-

November 9 (Dynamite) - Sammy Guevara vs. Bryan Danielson (Part II; 2 out of 3 Falls Match)

Look, barring what you think about Sammy, you have to admit that he spoke from the damn heart when he told his story about wanting to have a match with Bryan Danielson one day.

...so he did it again.

In a best of three falls.

Sammy, Sammy, Sammy. Love him or hate him, dude's somethin' else in the ring.

-

November 11 (Rampage) - Bandido vs. Rush (AEW World Championship Eliminator Match: Round 1)

...now I'm going to be blunt.

Bandido.

Got.

Signed!

Hooray!

-

November 14 (Dark Elevation) - Daniel Garcia vs. Leon Ruffin (ROH Pure Championship Match)

Gonna put in my obligatory plea to sign Leon Ruffin here. Thank you.

-

November 16 (Dynamite) - Death Triangle vs. Top Flight and AR Fox (Trios Championship Match)

Number one, this was nothing short of amazing.

Number two, Darius is healthy again. Please don't get injured again, thank you.

Number three, AR Fox got a contract after this match. Thank you.

-

November 18 (Rampage) - Eddie Kingston and Ortiz vs. Jun Akayama and Konosuke Takeshita

I lost my mind when I found out what happened after the match...

Konosuke Takeshita is All Elite!

Now it's time for one of my pipe dreams to come true: having him hold a damn belt! Perhaps the All-Atlantic Championship is in his future...?

-

November 19 (Full Gear) - Shit, the rest of the men's matches from this PPV.

Yeah, I'll admit it. Full Gear from top to bottom was a very solid PPV. The "weakest match" here would probably be Darby and Sting vs. Lethal and Jarrett... on paper. I will admit that I wasn't sold on this match being announced. However, once that happened, it turned into a total shitshow. By the way, that's a compliment.

In execution, I'd consider the "weakest match" to actually be the Fatal 4-Way for the ROH Championship. I'll also admit that I wasn't sold on this one, either. It wasn't bad, I just didn't care about it too much. I'd still watch it again if I was bored or something.

And hot damn, MJF is champ. I cannot believe that my dumb little pipe dream came true this year. Though, I actually expected him to get it by dethroning Hangman... and we all know what happened with that guess, right?

-

November 23 (Dynamite) - Death Triangle vs. The Elite (Trios Championship Match; Match 2)

"Shouldn't have made out with that damn hammer."

Goddamn hammers everywhere.

The Botchshot Lariat from Matt.

Didn't help that some people in the wrestling community have merged this into an "NBA on NBC" joke with this best of seven set. I don't know if I can survive the memes, I might die laughing from them.

-

November 23 (Dynamite - Thanksgiving Eve) - Chris Jericho vs. Tomohiro Ishii (ROH World Championship Match)

...holy shit, indeed. I do believe that Jericho might have bent the rules a little bit, since Ishii was a former World Television champion.

But seriously, is anyone really complaining? I'm not.

-

November 25 (Rampage - Black Friday) - FTR vs. Top Flight (ROH World Tag Team Championship Match)

It's time for my newest pipe dream to occur, and that's for the Martin brothers to hold some tag team belts.

Just... please don't put my pipe dream on ice for a third time, please.

-

November 30 (Dynamite) - Bryan Danielson vs. Dax Harwood

I mean... you get an old school style match here. They didn't disappoint. There's literally nothing bad about this match.

-

November 30 (Dynamite) - Samoa Joe vs. AR Fox (TNT Championship Match)

So we're just gonna kill the newest signing, huh? Alrighty.

Good news is that he didn't go down that easy.

-

November 30 (Dynamite) - Death Triangle vs. The Elite (Trios Championship Match; Match 3)

I don't care if some of my friends hate the Bucks. I don't care if they throw a fit whenever they're on the screen. Fuck that. This set is good.

Honorable Mentions - Women

November 1 (Dark) - Toni Storm vs. Diamante (Part II; AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Match)

You know what, I'm just gonna come out and say it.

Diamante is freaking underrated.

-

November 8 (Dark) - Toni Storm and Hikaru Shida vs. Emi Sakura and Mei Suruga

You know, it truly annoys me that we have to go to Dark Elevation and Dark for good women's matches. This is all weird.

-

November 14 (Dark Elevation) - Willow Nightingale and Riho vs. Emi Sakura and Mei Suruga

Willow and Riho was not a tag team that I expected, but it's one that I'll appreciate.

-

November 19 (Full Gear) - Shit, the rest of the women's matches.

All solid here, too. The "weakest match" (and trust me, that's being used very loosely here) would be Saraya vs. Britt... and that is not their fault. That was entirely on me for worrying about Saraya's neck (and she even brought that up in an interview, too). However, it easily redeemed itself by playing that into the match's story. I still find it funny that Britt cut a promo fitting of a babyface on the Dynamite prior to the PPV, and still did her heel stuff by attacking said neck.

Jade vs. Nyla had one of the most ridiculous stories in that division, and I loved it because it was so dumb. The match wasn't the best, but it capped off a good fluff storyline.

There's nothing to skip. Enjoy the matches here.

-

November 30 (Dynamite) - Willow Nightingale vs. Anna Jay

Not too bad at all. Pretty good Dynamite match, if you feel like watching it.

--

"Because I liked it, okay?" Mentions

November 2 (Dynamite) - Marina Shafir's new theme music.

Yes. Exactly. Here.

Look, just because I'm still not sold on Marina's ring work doesn't mean that I don't like her new music. This is some good shit.

-

November 8 (Dark) - Good lord, Kayla Rossi.

I think I'm convinced now. May wanna sign her if she wants to join the company.

-

November 8 (Dark) - Brandon Cutler vs. Peter Avalon (Part... uh... IV? Apparently?)

It's nice that we're revisiting one of the dumbest rivalries that ever happened.

...that's a compliment. I'd rather deal with silly dumb nonsense like this instead of infuriating dumb garbage.

-

November 11 (Rampage) - Nyla Rose's "TBS Championship Open Challenge"

...goddammit, Nyla.

-

November 15 (Dark) - Daniel Garcia vs. Brock Anderson (ROH Pure Championship Match)

Not a name I expected to put down here, but I'm not complaining. Brock's pretty alright in the ring, honestly.

-

November 25 (Rampage - Black Friday) - Darby Allin vs. Anthony Henry

This was not a match. This was a goddamn brawl.

-

November 28 (Dark Elevation) - Brandon Cutler vs. Man Scout

What a hot ass mess this was.

Again, that's a compliment.

-

November 30 (Dynamite) - He's back! She's back!

We'll start with the "she". Yes, I got super hyped when Ruby's theme hit. However, I want her to come back stronger than ever. I don't want to see the person who makes it to the top, only to be hit by the booking curse. It's happened three times already (The world title, the TBS title, the Owen Cup final). Please don't give us a fourth problem with her.

And now on to the "he"... according to one of my friends, I screamed so loud that my microphone actually cut out. Oops. Damn. Didn't expect to miss Hangman that much.

--

"We got a real problem here." Mentions

November 30 (Dynamite) - MJF becomes a real terror.

Storyline wise, this is indeed a problem. It's meant to be one.

However, the only problem (not "a real problem", just "a small problem") that I had with the promo was the sheer length. Granted, the infamous promo between him and CM Punk last year was nearly 20 minutes long, too. But here's the difference in this case: the Punk and Max mic war was just sheer greatness.

This one was a bit too long for my tastes, unfortunately. I actually glanced at the clock wondering when it was going to end, which isn't a good thing. And that's unusual, since Max is really, really good on the mic.

--

"This shit ain't good at all." Mentions

November 30 (Dynamite) - Max nukes Regal.

Storyline wise only, mind.

Yeah, looks like the Salt of the Earth is going to go full scorched earth during his reign.

Winter is indeed coming. Time to go to December...
