9. Old Nightmares and coming Home

The ship landed in a forest in Canada. The group unpacked their things. Alex looked at the forest and about 10 feet away was his old house.

Jessie: Mai and Axl are not going to like this.
Miyu: Is it a ship that sails? Is it an airship? If it's an airship, what was the point? Miss Douglas already had a private jet that was used earlier in the fic.
Kyo: Miyu, it's the law of Stu fics. Gotta make the love interest obsolete somehow.

"Alex where are we?" Helena was wondering why they were here but then see looked at Alex and saw that he was shaking. "Alex?" Helena came up alongside him she saw tears in his eyes. Helena Then knew where they were.

Three months ago

Akiko: Incoming flashback!

Alex was sitting in a rocking chair.

Cassy: *as the Stu* Get off my lawn! You damn kids!

In his hand was a recording device sentinels used for audio logs.

Jessie: It's just a damn digital recorder. You can buy somehing like that for less than twenty bucks.

Helena came into the room and could hear a voice that sounded female. "Alex my son I am making these logs for you in case I'm not around to teach you how to use your powers. As I look at you now so small and sweet I know you will make me proud as will your sister but just because you two are twins doesn't mean both of you have powers but I won't have too worry about Julie because she doesn't have powers so she won't have to fight to protect humanity like you will.

Miyu, Jessie, Cassy, Akiko: *ranting over each other*
Kyo: You fucking kidding me? This really is some Diet Benji bullshit.

But she is your sister never forget the bond you two share. And I'm getting off topic sorry. Alex you have powers in you that no other sentinel will ever have and it is my hope that you use them well.

Cassy: And he has unique powers? Really? Game breaking Stu.

You are so small but even now you show how smart and strong you are.

Kyo: *sarcastically* Remember, having a penis means that you're smarter and stronger by default!

Sweet dreams my son goodnight." Helena saw Alex crying a little so she sat down next to him. "Helena when you were trying to avenge your mom did you do anything that you regret?" "Yes I was so cruel to people and I wish I could take it all back why are you asking me this?" "Whatever you did to get your revenge pales in comparison to what I did.

Jessie: Because his manpain is bigger.

Sure you hurt a few people but I killed so many I hurt them tortured them and slaughtered so many in rage." Helena knew Alex did things that were horrific to say the least but she knew in her heart that he regrets everything he did.

Miyu: Even though he will brutally murder a foot soldier in the near future...
Kyo: Someone's forgetting their own damn aesops.

"Alex what you did was horrible but you and I did these things to avenge the people that were taken from us." Alex was still crying. "You don't get it I was supposed to help people to be a hero but I'm not I am a monster." "Alex you are not a monster a monster wouldn't care if he killed things

Akiko: If only you had a crystal ball, lady.
Jessie: He killed Christie's panther. He probably killed Helena's dog. He somehow almost killed Hayabusa, which is something that Akiko definitely wants to strike from the record. He threatened that Banshee character. He ripped a mook apart. He literally sent his broken dino to kill more people. And he flew off the handle at Kasumi. I know that this is a flashback, but the "he's not a monster" bullshit falls on deaf ears with us.
Cassy: Dude's turning into Kyle here. Remember, Jess? He was bragging about killing folks, and then the fic kept cramming the "He's just a kid!" crap down our throats in the later chapters.
Jessie: It's the old "forced sympathy" routine. Happens in every crappy fic.

Kyo: Oh, fuck off. He doesn't regret a damn thing.

Miyu: ...like twisting a guy's arm because he didn't read the Stu's mind...

and I'm proud to call you my friend." Alex stopped crying. "Helena you're a great friend if I didn't have you." "Well I'm here Alex what did your house look like?" "We had a few but the one I loved the most was in a forest in Canada you know I haven't been in my home country in years and I miss it.

Cassy: If you see a bunch of squirrels surrounding your house... you'll definitely know who came for your broken Stu ass.

The house was big full of rooms it had a pool inside and a few armories." the two of them sat and talked for a while.

Akiko: *bored* Of course the house would be full of weapons.
Kyo: Every edgy Stu needs a house full of crap.

Present day

"Alex are you ok?" Helena held Alex's right hand in her left. "Yes it's just I miss them but never mind let's get our things inside." Alex had a fake smile on his face and Helena wasn't sure what to do. Kokoro was looking around the forest was so peaceful and the way the morning sunlight made the green leaves sparkle and lastly the birds songs filled the air making a symphony. "It's so nice here Alex I can't even begin to wonder why you would leave a place like this."

Jessie: He had to infect the world.

Kokoro looked to Alex and her sister both looked sad. "What did I say something offensive ?" Alex forgot the fact that Kokoro didn't know his past. "No Kokoro it's just a long sad story."

Miyu: Which would be nice if we also knew what it was... well, aside from the message from his mother.

"Perhaps we could get inside first Alex? It would be best to get settled." Alex nodded then called to raptor who was rolling in the grass. The Dino came running to his owner. "Good boy. Now let's get inside." The four of them entered the house it was big and it looked like it could hold hundreds of people.

Cassy: *bored* Of course it's a mansion. Gary Stus and Mary Sues need the best and shiniest stuff.
Kyo: Ironic coming from you. Your dad's a business owner, and your mom runs a wine company. You're pretty much loaded.
Cassy: I'm not that loaded, dude.

"Whoa Alex this place is huge!" Helena was looking around seeing the stained glass windows and lights. "Alex it's beautiful." Alex smiled for a second. The good times he and his sister had in here playing, singing, dancing, and painting made him feel like a kid again. "Yeah it is." Helena could feel Alex's left arm wrap around her waist and as always her cheeks were turning red.

Akiko: Bad touch!

"I can remember all the fun my sister and I had in this place we would spend hours playing. But anyway James online." A voice that sounded like synthetic man spoke.

Kyo: Hey, who stuck James in the wall? Get him out of there!
Akiko: I think he'll just blow up the wall.
Jessie: Hush, you two. He's trying to kill the Stu.

"Welcome home Master Alex It has been a long time where have you been?" Alex frowned. "It's a long story old friend." James could tell by Alex's tone that something had happened but the A.I. Would ask him later.

Miyu: Sentient... A.I.?
Jessie: Pretty sure this fic's now an excuse to show off the Stu's shiny toys.
Kyo: Or the toys that the Stuthor wished he had.
Akiko: He's definitely not Iron Man... oh, wait... his codename's "War Machine"!
Miyu: Holy moly! This makes even more sense now!
Cassy: Yeah. We now know how ridiculous it's getting.

"Right sir well may I ask then who the girl with your arm around her is?" Helena wasn't sure what to say.

Kyo: Aside from "I'm a grown woman!"? Seriously, she's in her early twenties here!

"Oh right this is Helena Douglas and this is her sister Kokoro." James then saw raptor. "And that is your new pet." "Glad to see your optics still work." Helena had a million questions. "Wait so Alex the house has an A.I. Why didn't you tell me you could do that ?" "Helena I can do that but James was made by my parents to keep an eye on things while they were away." "And to keep Alex and Julie out of trouble which was a pain in the processor." "Very funny James but not as funny as the time you blow up the..."

Akiko: *flatly* Humor.
Kyo, Miyu, Jessie, Cassy: *flatly* My sides.

"Let's get your guests settled in sir." Alex smirked. "Good idea James. Right Helena pick a room for us and one for Kokoro." "What are you going to do then?" "I am going to check to see if the house is secure." "Alex if someone entered the house I would know." "But you wouldn't know if someone else was around the house I'm just checking to make sure."

Jessie: It's a sentient A.I. I'm sure it's fine.

Meanwhile at a sentinel base on Mars

All: Mars?!
Jessie: Why the hell are we on Mars?!
Cassy: Oh, my god, he probably took the guest character stuff from "Dead or Alive 4" and mixed it all up!

Christie was less than happy being on this rock

Akiko: How did she even get there in the first place? Doesn't it take a few years of space travel to get to Mars?
Miyu: *halfheartedly waves her hands around* Intergalactic teleporters, Akiko.

it was cold and what annoyed her even more was Banshee was calm and relaxed. "Ready?" the rouge sentinel was smiling "Always."

Kyo: The Rouge Angle of Satin smiles.

10. Smash and Grab

Christie was stunned to say the least Banshee had killed every marine on watch in less then sixty seconds.

Akiko: And it was offscreen?! Lame! *boos*
Cassy: *laughs*

She turned to the rouge sentinel

Cassy: The red sentinel?

"Why do you guys have normal troops anyway." Banshee shook her head and laughed "What's so funny?" Christie growled. Banshee looked at her "These guys are the best and while they aren't sentinels any of one of them is more then a match for you. To be honest you're pretty much dead weight." She opened the airlock. Christie was mad as hell. 'How dare this little bitch call me dead weight! I' m going to cut her limbs off slowly and then...' Her thoughts interrupted by Banshee. "Pretty much impossible Christie but you are more then welcome to try anywhere at any time." Christie was stunned "How did you know what I was thinking?" "I can read minds to a point but as for right now we need to get what we came for."

Cassy: And why is Christie sounding like a homicidal maniac here?
Kyo: Did that random mind reading power just come out of fucking nowhere?
Jessie: This fic is all over the place.
Miyu: *flatly* Hooray. The two women still can't work together.
Kyo: *sarcastically* And their periods will just make them hostile to each other, right? *laughs weakly, sighs* God, I hate this fic.
Akiko: How do you think we feel, Kyo-chan?

Christie hated the fact that her thoughts could be read but Banshee was right they had a job to do. "Ok Banshee what are we here for weapons tech, medical tech ?" Banshee smiled "Weapons yes meds no. We are here to get one of Titan's drone plans that he never got to use now hush up if we are seen by any other..." "Well well well Banshee what are you doing here? You are supposed to be on Takcus seven with the... hey who is that behind you anyway?" Banshee knew the voice "Slicer nice to see you girl." Christie looked at the female sentinel in front of them. She has light brown hair in a pony tail, and her eyes were a dark violet her Armour was a teal and had what looked like a four barreled rocket launcher resting on her shoulder and she did not look happy.

Jessie: And look at how much I care about this useless padding!
Akiko: Are we still in the Dead or Alive section?
Miyu: I'm... not sure.

"Answer the question." Banshee looked at Christie. She knew that Slicer was on to her so she pulled out her custom vipers. "Ok Slicer I'm here to pick up the last of Titan's last drone blue prints so get out of my way!" Slicer's helmet then covered her face. "Not going to happen traitor!" She then fired her plasma cannon. Banshee pushed Christie out of the way and began to fire.

Kyo: Exposition? Backstory? We don't need that useless crap! Just pretend that the audience can instantly read fuckin' hieroglyphs and call it a day!
Cassy: Also, I love how there's the start of an action scene and it just cuts off.
Jessie: Of course it cuts off. The Stu's not in it.

Meanwhile

Helena's P.O.V

I keep thinking about what Alex said about wanting a family with me. I wonder if he would want to adopt a child with me I mean it would be nice to be a mom. I hope can be a good parent like my mother oh how I miss her but at least I have Alex and Kokoro. Speaking of where is Kokoro ? I haven't seen her since we picked a room for her. Oh well she's most likely looking around the house. Hmm maybe I should be having a look around myself ? I don't know how long we will be here so I may want to get a sense of knowing where everything is. "Excuse me James. Could you tell me about this place ?" "Of course miss Helena. This place is one of seven bases made by my creators to protect Alex and his sister. The base has many areas for work, play and has a prefect defense system. Is there anything else I can help you with?" "Could you tell me where my sister is ?" "She is in the main living area at the door to your left." "Thank you." I turn to the door and I open it and see a big room with a very large white L-shaped leather couch with what I would guess to be a holo-graphic screen and around the room were windows that went from the floor to what looks the roof. "Hey Helena isn't this cool?" I can't even begin two guess how this place works.

All: *bored*
Akiko: A fight scene is cut off for this junk? Really?
Cassy: Really, dude.
Miyu: Why is this here? Why is this here?! Why is this here?!
Jessie: How was it even possible to put padding into padding?!
Kyo: You know what? If you have to neuter your love interest to the point where her sole motivation is reduced to popping out your future crotch spawn... start over from scratch or quit writing. I'm fucking serious.

Normal P.O.V

one hour later

Alex and raptor walked in the door.

Cassy: Ouch. You know that the door's solid, dude.

Find anything sir?" James asked Alex was calm. "Nope. So where are the girls?" "They are in the main living area sir." "Good" Alex then went to the main living area and saw Helena and Kokoro watching the local news. "Hey so what do you two think?" Helena turned "Well I think we should be safe here come sit with us." Alex sat next to Helena while raptor ran off to do something.

Kyo: Like poop all over the lawn. Seriously, in a fic full of useless characters, that scrap heap has got to be the most useless one of all.

Back on mars

Banshee and Christie left the base in ruins but they got what they came for.

Akiko: Another offscreen fight?! Lame! *boos*
Cassy: *laughs* You knew that it was offscreen, dude! Why're you booing?
Akiko: I had to prove my point, Cass!

"Well that was easy." Banshee said very relax. At this point Christie was pretty much stunned at the level of violence she just saw and wasn't going to reply.

Jessie: You're an assassin. How is this supposed to surprise you?

"come on let's get back and show Victor what we got."

Miyu: Yeah... what did they get?
Kyo: I don't know, Miyu. Just smile and nod.
Miyu: Can I look at them in utter confusion?
Kyo: If you want to, sure.

Sorry this chapter took so long I will be trying to get more chapters out sooner anyway if you want to leave a Nice comment please do anyway hope you enjoy the story so far because there will be much more to come. :)

Miyu: You only want nice comments? Oh, you are going to be severely disappointed.
Jessie: There's more of this crap?
Kyo: I don't want any more of this crap.
Cassy: Too bad. At least we're almost done here.
Akiko: *flatly* Hooray...
