Benimaru: And what's in those folders, huh?
Rory: Oh, you don't want to know.
Benimaru: It's that stuff, isn't it?
Rory: Yes. And if I show you, the demons will come. I'll just lock these away now.
Benimaru: Yeah... you do that.

I swear, that's the last in-joke to that fic. They're actually stored in folders in my bedroom somewhere. I don't care to look for them at all.

Rory: And hungry, too. Don't forget the fact that he's hungry. *mumbles* Because I sure didn't.

Callback to "Sonic High School".

Emi: *sings* Sail away, sail away, sail away...

Emi is referencing the Enya song "Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)".

Axl: *as Stinkmeaner* Oh, yeah! You just got kicked in your chest!

Reference to "The Boondocks" episode, "Stinkmeaner Strikes Back".

Emi: Oh, my goodness! Cammy has clones!
Keiko, Mai: No! No, not that!
James: Pfft. Jess and I can just blow them up, too. You ladies have nothing to worry about.

Callback to "RuSa Drabble".

James: *as Kyo-1.5* And this also includes your little dog, too!

Oh, does this need to be referenced? Anyway, this is in reference to "The Wizard of Oz" film.

Kyo: See, this is why we don't let fangirls enter KOF. They ruin everything.
Benimaru: What are you talking about? Everyone's ruined everything at some point. Hell, you kind of ruined it for someone when you think about it.
Kyo: When?
Benimaru: Let's just say "1996" and leave it at that.

Yes, I'm a Kyo fan. And I, the writer, will admit that he pretty much stole the show from Leona and Chizuru that year. (They lost family members because of Goenitz. Kyo only got sent to the hospital and lived. Whoo.)

Keiko: You can find them in the same box that has those "pretty smiles".

Callback to "A Story of Destined Love".

Axl: He's obviously a master of puppets.

Axl: *sings* Master!

Axl's referencing Metallica's "Master of Puppets".

Sonic: Probably like how Emi's old self was uncomfortable around that moustache twirling Kusanagi?

Reference to the Esaka Destiny "Saga" (specifically, "A Story of Destined Love", the fic that Sonic was present for.)

Sonic: *sarcastically* Oh, poor him. Throwing himself into battle, and we're supposed to look at his manly injuries. *as he waves the Stu off* Go hunt a mammoth, cave man.

Reference to... "We Hunted the Mammoth".

Sonia: I'm surprised. He has a heart?
Kyo L.: Either that or a Chaos Emerald in place of one.

Reference to "Sabrina's Adventure".

(Part Nine)

Manic: Can I really trust you, Doctor Giggles? I mean, Doctor Nick Riviera's starting to sound like a better choice for a doctor.

In reference to the infamous quack doctor from "The Simpsons".

Axl: *as the Stu* But I must fight.
Sonia: *as Aki* But I love you!

Actually an in-joke between the writer and the editor. A friend of ours actually said those lines due to the editor getting carried away with his fighting games sometimes.

Manic: *in a church choir uniform* Yes, only you can absolve yourself of your sins when you join the Church of Benji!
Kyo K.: Alright, then let's set up the grape Flavor Aid.

In reference to the mass suicide in what is now known as Jonestown, Guyana, where over 900 people died as a result of drinking cyanide laced Flavor Aid.
