Episode 12 - Your Love Life at Work

Amy: Then stop dating sixth graders, Mary Kay.

Pretty scathing comment from Amy, isn't it? It's even more scathing since it was actually true; Mary Kay Letourneau did sleep with one of her (at the time) sixth grade students... and she is now married to him.

Sonia: You know, stuff like, "Oh, when he made waffles, an ingredient wasn't hot sauce."
Sonic: Sis... are you dating El Fuerte?

The "Street Fighter" character that Sonic mentioned... well, it's self explanatory; he can't cook to save his life.

Amy: But in another Cosmo article, that was a sign that he was "cheating in the summer".
Sonic: Aren't mixed messages beautiful, Ames?

Callback to "Why Men Cheat in the Summer", obviously.

No matter how independent you are,
Sonic: *coughShylohcough*

Callback to "Miss Independent"... I mean... "Meet Shyloh".

your guy wants to know that he makes you feel protected (even if you are the spider-killer in your relationship).
Manic:
Yes, even Ryu can feel better about himself!

If you're not familiar with the "Street Fighter" series, Ryu has a dislike of spiders. Story says that while he was sleeping, he woke up with one in his mouth.

Episode 13 - Coming Home

(Part One)

"Some people just shouldn't be parents son,

Sonic: ...like the Duggars.
Sonia, Manic, Amy: *gasps*
Sonic: *unfazed* Too soon?

Um, yes, Sonic, it's a bit too soon. Sonic's referring to the recent (at least at the time of this riffing) incident where it was revealed that one of the sons molested about five minor girls (including a few of his younger sisters), and his parents basically covered it up.

Sonia: I think the Black Crow learned that when someone says "nothing" in a badfic, it really means "something".

Reference to "Sabrina's Adventure 2: Return of Sabrina".

(Part Two)

Sonic: Lauren? Who needs to remember that canon love interest?
Sonia: Sounds like a certain story, doesn't it?
Sonic: What?
Sonia: You know, the Sue and her love interest kiss in the fourth chapter...
Amy: Hey, as long as we don't have to read a bad sex scene in the fifth, an abduction in the sixth, and rape by his clone in the seventh, I think we'll be fine.
Manic: Yeah, that'll make my day. His clones in "Home Improvement", of all places.

Sonia: *sarcastically* No, really? I thought that he was making out with a mirror image of himself!

Amy: Oh, if only he could see the future where he dated two women at once...

Manic: Oh, I'm sorry. *as he's wiping away tears* It's just that Suethors always had that actress playing their own Sues in fanfics like these.
Amy: So... now they're copying off of each other? How uncreative!
Sonia: They've always copied off of each other. Either that or we're really referencing that duplication episode now.

(While the first conversation takes place in Part Two, Sonia and Amy's individual riffs are in Part Five, and the second conversation takes place in Part Six.)
The first conversation actually has two obscure references in it! Not only is it a crack at "A Story of Destined Love", it's also a crack at an episode of "Smallville" (specifically, the Season 2 episode, "Dichotic"). After the first conversation, the riffs crack at the latter reference only.

(Part Three)

Manic: Thanks, Raiden. Big help in not messing up the timeline there.

Reference to the events in the rebooted "Mortal Kombat".

(Part Four)

Amy: Okay, seriously, what was the point of that scene?
Manic: Because the fangirls needed to see him shirtless.
Amy: Oh, much like the sweat that dripped down Mr. Kusanagi's chest that one time he had a nightmare in that one fic?
Sonia: Wait, that was a thing?
Amy: Yes. Yes, it was.

Reference to the last riffed chapter in "The Final Struggle".

Amy: *as Colleen* Well... unless you want to pretend to be an adult and foil robbers with your makeshift traps...

Obvious "Home Alone" reference.

Amy: Oh, so she wants to be like Swinger Girl!
Sonia: I can't wait for a tomboy to make a fake philosophy about her when that time comes.

Reference to the "Recess" episode "Swing on Thru to the Other Side".

Episode 14 - The Walking Flame

Manic: Ah, you know that research doesn't exist in this universe. Just like how the west coast of Brazil is a thing there.

In reference to "Breaking Dawn", where Isle Esme is apparently located miles away from the imaginary coast.

Amy: Wait. Wasn't Edward the only one who ended up in Alaska? No, wait... no, this must've been during the events of "New Moon". The whole family went to Alaska after that incident at Bella's birthday party.
Sonic: Oh, good. Now we know what part of the timeline we're in.
Manic: Did they manage to get to Alaska on a single tank of gas?
Amy: *laughs* Probably!

Manic: How the heck did they get from Washington state to Alaska that quickly?
Sonic: Because bad writers forget about a little country called
Canada that's between those two states. Heh.
Manic: Maybe they got there on a tank of gas, too!
Sonia: *chuckles*

In reference to the events in the original "Twilight" book (Chapter 13, specifically), where Edward claimed that he drove to Denali, Alaska from Forks, Washington on one tank of gas... which makes no sense.

Sonia: *plants her face on the table*
Sonic: Oh, hey, the table didn't break this time!

Sonic makes a callback to Sonia breaking the group's old coffee table with her own head during the "Killing Time" riffing.
