Crazy Train Episode 7: Master Of The Heart (Part Two)

Chapter 3
-A year later-

A lot has happened in a year, I had won the grand festival and was now a top coordinator.

Mai: Argh!
James: Told you.
Rory: Details? Effort? Development? Bah! We don't need that useless stuff!

I had become even more famous and it was hard to travel without being stopped.

James: Suethor, I want both of your hands on that bloody keyboard right now.

Oh well, either way I was looking at this month's coordinator magazine. I happened to be on the cover.

Axl: *rolls his eyes* Of course she is.

I was so embarrassed, I hope no one I knew saw this, especially Ash…

Mai: *unamused* Oh, look. Fake humility.
Axl: Typical. They want all the attention, then they whine once they get what they wanted.

I wondered how he was, I remember watching the Johto league champions. He did really well! Too bad he lost to a Hoenn trainer, either way very impressive.

Axl: Well, that sounded snotty--
Juniper: *knocks on the door* Excuse me! Excuse me!
James: Who the hell is that?
Rory: Is that...
Axl: Yeah. Her. Someone let her in, because I'm so sure that she's got steam to let out.
James: Fine. *gets up, opens the door*
Juniper: Hello. I heard that someone took a dump on my home region, and I'm going to settle this nonsense right now. You got any room? Don't mind the Pichu that's on my head. That's my partner, obviously.
Rory: Uh, hello. Have a seat. *to Mai* Didn't know that she'd actually arrive.
Mai: Well, something was going to happen sooner or later, Rory. *to Juniper* Where's your friend?
Juniper: Jules didn't want to come. She's training for her next Contest and thought that dealing with this fic would waste her time.
James: *as he walks to the couch and sits down* Can't blame her. This fic does suck.
Mai: Anyway, I'm sure that the Sue wasn't insulting the region, but the wording does make it sound that way. It's ironic, considering that she's in Hoenn. It's even more ironic that she's now a top Coordinator.
Axl: I don't think that you're wrong, but my mind has a different reason. I think that she's insulting Ash again because he's not a game breaking master like she is.
Rory: And she loves him... why?
Axl: Hell if I know, Rory.

It seemed he was catching up to me… Slowly but still he has great potential.

Rory: Again, nothing says encouragement like stealthily insulting him. You're the love interest... why?
Juniper: Because.

I had talked to Misty and Brock a few times over the year. Misty told me she was returning to be the gym leader at the Cerulean gym. Apparently Ash had headed to the Hoenn region, and met up with some new friends. Brock was still with him though.

Axl: You know... this comes off as some severe hand-holding. If someone has watched the anime up to this point, they'd be annoyed by this.

Either way I hope I run into him…

James: *annoyed* We get it, you want his kids. Now shut the bloody hell up.

This region is big, but if I know Ash he will be going to where the Gyms are. "Haine dear we have a job for you!" Nurse Joy spoke. "What is it?" I asked. "Well you see we want you to give a teaching class on coordinating to some of our new starters, it will be tomorrow at 2:00 do you think you could help us out?" She asked "Of course I would love to!" I replied.

Juniper: Jules would refuse to come.
James: Let's be honest, anyone with a working brain wouldn't want to go. Nobody wants to listen to a condescending twit who thinks that she's better than everyone.

I was getting more nervous the later it got.

Mai: *unamused* Oh, look. More fake humility.

I hope I did a good job teaching the new students. "Chika?" Chikorita spoke while giving me a concerned look. "I'm okay don't worry" I said reassuringly. At least I hope I did. Guess we will see how tomorrow goes. I turned the lights off and pulled Chikorita close to me as I fell asleep.

All: Ow, my neck!
Rory: Details on the class? We don't need that!
Axl: I swear, this Suethor isn't putting any effort into this stuff. This fic's just being rushed to get to the "important" parts here. All this fic cares about is the "love" that Ash and the Sue have, and we haven't been shown a single lick of development on that relationship at all.
Rory: That makes no sense. Why is the main selling point giving us nothing?
Axl: Don't ask me, ask the Suethor... oh, wait, she hates criticism.
Juniper: Wait, what?
Mai: Well, if that's the case... we'll have to rip this fic apart, then.

"Looks like were here Chiki" I spoke as Chikorita and myself were now outside the Contest hall. "Chika ri" Chikorita replied.

James: I swear, the Poké Speak is slowly turning into filler now. I know that the anime does that, but it's just odd in a fic to me.

"Oh Haine good you're here. Please come this way." Nurse Joy stated as she ran up to greet me. "Okay coming" I smiled in reply. I walked in to the room full of people cheering my name as I walked on stage. "Hey everyone, Haine here, how's it going?" I asked the crowd as they continued to cheer louder. "So want to see some contest moves" I winked as the crowd went wild.

All: *yawning loudly*
Rory: *bored* Time to see Miss Perfect get all perfect again. Seriously, car manuals from 1972 have more merit than her.
Axl: Which manuals?
Rory: All of 'em.

"Chikorita first routine" I shouted out. "Chika" Chikorita agreed as she preformed petal dance then aromatherapy, "Finish up with Solar beam!' I cried out as she followed my orders performing a stunning beam of light, "now use grass whistle" as the light shone a beautiful sounds formed as the faces of the crowd lit.

James: Aside from the illegal Petal Dance, is the rest okay?
Mai: Yes. Chikorita can learn GrassWhistle by breeding. It can learn Aromatheraphy and SolarBeam by leveling. It's fine.

Chikorita then landed on my shoulder for a finish. "Wow that was amazing, no wonder you are a contest champion" Nurse Joy applauded. I blushed.

Axl: *bored* Oh, I forgot. The fic needed to get the shilling in, too.

"Thank you everyone" I waved, "HAINE!" I recognized that voice, I looked in the crowd and my heart started racing…

Juniper: ...and then she keeled over.

"A…Ash?" I was stunned but then smiled as I cried out.

James: You're in public, lady.
Mai: Gross.
Axl: She smiled as she cried out? The heck does that mean?
Rory, Juniper: *making odd noises while smiling*
Mai: You two sound like you're dying on the inside.

"ASH!" I dove off the stage and landed in his arms. "Idiot be more careful!" He laughed. "That's my line" I laughed back.

Rory: *laughs halfheartedly* Can you feel the love in the air today?
Axl: Tastes like diabeetus.

"Wow I can't believe you know Haine, it's such an honor" A girl spoke.

James: Who the fuck are you?
Juniper: *laughs*
Axl: Required fangirl who needs to shill the Sue. Just like... Kira...
Mai: *facepalms* Just what we didn't need.

"Hi, what's your name?" I asked. She froze. "This is May" Brock spoke.

Rory: It was May? Of course her first line had to do with shilling the Sue.

"BROCK!" I ran up to hug him too. "You look great as always Haine." Brock grinned. "Awe thanks, and nice too meet you May." I smiled at her as I shook her hand. "Sorry about my big sister, she's a huge fan of yours. By the way my name is Max, and it's nice to meet you." Max stated.

Mai: I know that I'm getting tired of saying "It gets worse"... but it does indeed get worse. May didn't worship any Top Coordinators at all.
Juniper: Heh! What's next, the Church of Haine... does she have a last name?
Rory: Yeah. Her name is Haine Ki.
Juniper: The Church of Hanky? Well, people do need to wipe their snotty noses after they sneeze!

"YOUR SO CUTE" I glomped him. "GAH" He cried out.

Axl: Wow, you're rude. Better learn about personal space, Hanky.
Mai: She also needs to learn the difference between "your" and "you're".

"So Haine, May is also a Coordinator." Ash spoke. "Really? I would love to see you perform." I smiled, "Really?" May asked as she beamed. "Yeah, after I finish this talk show" I replied. I had forgotten I was performing for everyone. "Let's meet up after the show then!" I smiled as I then walked back on stage.

Juniper: Yeah, remember when she had to do this talk show about five seconds ago?

It was after the show and I ran outside to meet everyone.

All: My neck!
Rory: My head's gonna pop off if this keeps going!

"Haine!" May called out as I saw them waving at me. "Hey guys!" I waved back as I then tripped and fell. Face planting into the ground.

Axl: Oh, great. We have an "LOL, I'm so clumsy!" moment.
Mai: Ugh. It's getting even worse.
James: Rory, I wish that you never took this fic out of Sonic's hands.
Rory: How was I supposed to know that it'd be this bad?
James: His group takes on Mary Sues like her for a reason, mate.

"Are you okay?" May cried out. "Don't worry she does this a lot…" Ash stated. Brock just nodded. "What was that?" I yelled back. "Calm down" Brock just grinned. "Not my fault you are a klutz" Ash laughed. "Oh I'm the klutz, Mr. Master you fall over all the time, not to mention how hot headed you are!" I shot back. "WHAT?" Ash yelled. "You heard me this time!" I smirked.

Juniper: Uh, are you two nitwits done? We have to get back to the story.
Mai: Juniper... there is no story.
Juniper: What the heck? What's the point of this whole thing, then?
Mai: It is here to take years off of our lives.

"Uh shouldn't we stop them?" May asked. "Nah they do this all the time." Brock sighed. "They keep going at it…" Max stated. "Yeah well the only think to do here is this!" Brock smirked as he walked up to us. "What?" I asked. "Okay just admit you two are happy to see each other again" Brock smiled. I blushed as I turned away… He was right… I had never been so happy.

Axl: I, I, I, me, me, me...
Rory: She's so friggin' dull.

I turned back to Ash who as usual had a clueless look on his face. "Brock is right… I'm sorry" I flushed a little. "Same here…" Ash replied as he tried to cover the embarrassment on his face. We both then just laughed.

James: That was as funny as a root canal.

"So Haine how long are you going to be here in Hoenn?" Brock asked. "I'm not sure I was thinking of what to do next but till then… Would it be okay if I joined you guys again?" I smiled.

Juniper: *menacingly* Get out of my region.

"Of course" Ash replied in excitement. "YAY!" May cried out as she hugged me. I knew the two of us would become close friends.

Rory: Gotta like her or you're evil!
Mai: I'm so done with this. *picks up her cell phone, dials a number* Hello, Kyo. Listen, I want you to beat me to death with a house plant right now. I cannot deal with this sugary Mary Sue--
Axl: *takes the phone away from Mai* Don't listen to my sister, buddy. See ya. *hangs up* Sis, you're going to suffer and hate her just like everyone else in this room.
Mai: Am I supposed to like it?
Axl: Heck, no! I hate her sparkly guts, too!

"It's great to have you back" Brock gave me his usual thumbs up. I was so happy to be back.

James: I wasn't.

After we had all went to the Pokemon Center for dinner Ash came up to me. "Haine… Can I talk to you?" Ash asked. "Of course what is it?" I replied. "Just come with me." Ash said as he gave me a smile that made my heart race faster then ever before.

Mai: And then it exploded. The End.

Ash had led me outside, the sky was filled with stars, they shined so bright and were so beautiful.

James: And then a star entered the atmosphere and obliterated her.
Juniper: You folks are dark.

"Here…" Ash spoke as I turned to face him. In his had was my little red ribbon. I picked it up and held it close. "Thank you Ash…" I smiled as a tear fell from my eyes.

Rory: *throws his hands up* Here we go again!
Miyu: *as she peeks inside* She needs to stop littering. I'll kick her butt if she doesn't stop littering.
Axl: Pfft! Miyu, go check on your cakes!
Miyu: I was going to do that, actually. *leaves*

"What's wrong?" Ash asked with concern.

Mai: Aside from this fic?

"Oh nothing I just missed this ribbon…" I laughed a little. "I never understood why you gave it to me… I mean Brock said so I would have to see you again, but why this ribbon, what is it?" Ash asked. "Well you see this ribbon belonged to my mother." I spoke as I looked up at the sky. "Your mother?" Ash asked.

Axl: ...I see that we're hijacking Dawn's backstory now.

"Yeah… She died when I was little…

Rory: Argh!
James: She's hitting the Mary Sue checklist hard, isn't she?
Juniper: Hard to ask what's missing now.
Rory: A Legendary.

I don't remember much about her, but this was the first contest ribbon she ever won… It's my treasure, so thank you for taking such good care of it." I replied as tears continued to fall from my eyes. "I'm so sorry Haine…" Ash spoke with a saddened look. "It's okay after all I know she is looking after me. She was an amazing coordinator and I told myself when I was little someday I would be just like her and win the grand festival." I spoke as I continued to gaze at the stars.

Mai: Not only did the Sue hijack Dawn's backstory, she procceded to become a better Dawn. Amazing.
James: Amazingly unoriginal.

"So… Why give something that important to me?" Ash questioned.

Juniper: *slowly* Because she wants to suck your face off.
Rory: She's gonna use her dead mom's ribbon as an excuse for kissy time with a guy. We've seen no development between them. What's that called again?
Mai: They're being strangled by the red string.
Axl: More like the Sue's strangling Ash's neck with it.

I blushed a little. "Because more then anyone I wanted to see you again." I replied as my blush deepened. Ash turned red as well. "Why? I mean I wanted to see you again… I never really got to say goodbye and I just…" Ash mumbled as I ran into his chest and held him tight. "WHA?" Ash jolted. "Just let me stay here for a while…" I spoke gently. "Yeah… Okay…" Ash replied as he wrapped his arms around me. "The stars are beautiful aren't they?" I spoke. "Yeah… They are…"Ash replied. We just spent the rest of the night laying on the grass staring at the stars. Something about the stars made me feel safe… Knowing Ash and I will always be connected under them… Ash… I missed you

Rory: You're also missing a period, lady.
Juniper: *singing* Can you feel the hackneyed love tonight? It's all cheesy as heck...
James: Why am I supposed to root for these two to get together? I've already dealt with Michiru and Benji's bollocks. I don't need a second round of this crap.
Mai: Unfortunately, you're getting a second round. Enjoy.
