Episode 1 - Da Princess in da gle club
(Part One)
Cassy: Guess our Sue has a bit of that Amanda Woodward Syndrome there.
Cassy is referring to an old FOX soap called "Melrose Place". Amanda Woodward was a character who slept with every main male character except for the token gay member during the show's run.
Jessie: And he hopes you burn in Hell!
Jessie modifies this line slightly from the 1996 film of the book "A Time to Kill", in which Samuel L. Jackson's character says this.
Miyu: I'm guessing that the suethor is an illiterate Twilighter?
Jessie: Stephenie Meyer, is that you?
Miyu is cracking at the rabid "Twilight" fanbase, in which some fans actually insulted others who hated the books in a less than stellar grasp of the English language. Jessie is actually making a jab at the author of said books, who actually has a giant ego to boot.
Cassy: She's now called Ebony Dark'ness Dementia--
Slightly obscure for those who don't know what "My Immortal" is. Yes, it's a song by Evanescence, but it's also a horrible Harry Potter badfic written by one Tara Gilesbie. The main character's name was Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way, and the author/troll/Suethor often modified the main characters' names. Basically, Harry was now "Vampire", Hermione was now "B'loody Mary", and so forth.

Kyo: She sends them to the wonderful world of make-believe?
Kyo is referring to "Mister Roger's Neighborhood".
Miyu: Order Out of Chaos? Huh?
Miyu is referring to an old Windows game made by Pinnacle Software, called "Order Out of Chaos". Yes, it also had the acronym "OOOC".
Miyu: By strapping her to a chair and forcing her to watch the American version of "One Missed Call" fifteen times.
Why does this deserve special mention for an obscure reference? Turns out "One Missed Call" was so terrible, it allegedly ended the practice of remaking J-Horror films for American audiences.

Kyo: *as Kuzco* A perfect world begins and ends with... me!
Don't like Disney films? Kyo's referring to "The Emperor's New Groove".
Cassy: Apparently, "Glee" is now crossing over with "The Secret Life of the American Teenager".
It's a bit obscure, but I'll reference it to be safe. Never seen or heard about this show? Basically, "Secret Life" has one underlying message: If you have underage sex, bad things will happen to you. Or your family.
Miyu: Sex tips from Tara Gilesbie!
Yes, another "My Immortal" reference. Miyu's referring to the terrible sex scenes that were present in that fic, which were similar to the ones in this fic.
Kyo: And lots of cocaine. It's a hell of a drug.
Kyo's referring to the popular "Rick James" skit from "Chappelle's Show".
"DONT U CALL MY SON A GAY FAG!" he yeled.
Kyo: *as Burt* BECAUSE THAT'S REDUNDANT!
It's one of those few riffs where I have to put a part of the fic for the reference to make sense. It's possibly obscure, for those who aren't familiar with American terminology. "Fag", or "Faggot", is a rather derogatory term used to describe gay males. In England, "Fag" is used to describe a cigarette.
Episode 2 - Jasukurini Sakaraemonii (Short: Kurotsuki Yamihana)
Kyo: With a weeaboo name.
Miyu: Blackmoon Darkflower? Really?
Playing safe again. "Weeaboo" is a term used to describe Americans who attempt to act Japanese, and abuse certain words, like "neko" and "desu". Miyu's translation of the name (Kurotsuki Yamihana) further cements the fact.
Cassy: And that's what Timothy Treadwell said before
he hung out with those bears.
Miyu: Ick.
Cassy's referring to "Grizzly Man", in which the man she just mentioned documented his life being around bears and other animals. Miyu is understandably grossed out because she knew what happened to him... he and his girfriend were both eaten by bears.
Miyu: Hey, it's almost like CatDog!
CatDog was an animated series that followed the lives of a hybrid cat and dog sharing a single body (the heads were at either ends of the body).
Cassy: THe MAstEr dOes NoT aPProvE...
Never saw a certain show that spawned the inspiration for MST 'EM? Cassy's referring to "Manos: The Hands of Fate", a very well known Mystery Science Theater 3000 featured film. She's pretending to act as Torgo.
Kyo: Lucario picked this out from "The Big Book of Maury Baby Names".
Kyo is referring to "The Maury Povich Show", in which the show is basically dedicated to doing Paternity Test episodes every other day. Kyo's also referring to the ridiculous names that some of the mothers actually give to their children.
Episode 3 - The attack of Akuma (Short: sonic where are you)
Miyu: McCloud!
A reference right out of the gate. Miyu is referring to a '70s crime drama titled "McCloud".
Jessie: *as Iori Yagami* Kyooooooooo!
Kyo: What?
Jessie: Oops. Nothing, darling.
Not a King of Fighters fan? Jessie is mainly referring to certain parts in which Iori is in his "Orochi" mode and shouts out the name of his rival (Kyo Kusanagi) in his victory pose. Of course Kyo would turn and wonder why Jessie was shouting his name.
Miyu: You may want to rethink that. Obvious
reasons.
Cassy: I thought we already didn't have to. We should forget about "Sonic '06",
you know.
Kyo: Yeah, thanks for breaking the fourth wall and then some, Kitty.
Don't know about Sonic '06? Here's a spoiler alert: Don't bother. When you finish the game, it'll feel like you have wasted your time.
Kyo: Ah, so he's a shadowy ghost. Just like Kusa--
Kyo: Because Akuma was really Kusana--
Another King of Fighters reference. Here, the name that our resident pyrokenetic fox is trying to refer to is the main hero's shadow clone introduced in KOF 2002, Kusanagi. Maybe our fire fox is wondering if he has a clone as well?
Cassy: At least battle your palette swap. Then you'll be on equal footing.
Cassy is referring to mirror matches in fighting games, in which two players fight each other using the same person. Some people do refer to them as "palette swaps" if they keep the same outfit, but it is in a different color.
Cassy: Oh, that was a relief. For a minute there, I
thought Akuma turned into Mr. Stamper.
Jessie: Stamper? I think Renard's a more logical comparison.
Cassy and Jessie are talking about villians in the James Bond films. Mr. Stamper (from Tomorrow Never Dies) was a rather ruthless henchman who's senses were rewired in a way. Basically, when he was supposed to feel pain, he ended up feeling pleasure, and vice versa. Renard (from The World is Not Enough) was shot in a certain part of the head, and as a result, he lost the abilities to taste, smell, and... feel pain.
Jessie: Our hero, ladies and gents!
Kyo: Yeah, I'm pretty sure you've called him a "hero" on more than one
occasion...
Jessie: Bite me, Fox Boy.
Kyo: *as Ryu* Dude, he emasculated me in front of my
woman. She won't do me anymore.
Jessie: I hate you so much, Kyo LeMaire.
Kyo: *as Ken* So, Ryu... did ya bang any hot chicks
lately?
Jessie: *glares at Kyo* Shut... up.
These are all in-jokes. Kyo is poking fun on how Jessie's old character was a user of the Anasatsuken style that Ryu, Ken, and Akuma also uses. She used to have the potential to either burn, electrocute, or freeze her opponents, and she once had the ability to tap into the Satsui no Hadou. She also had a romantic relationship with Ryu, which caused a rather gleeful Kyo to tease the perky assassin.
Jessie: Holy crap! Sakura taught him how to use
technology!
Cassy: *as Ryu* Weird... why do I have a creepy children's song playing
instead of my usual ringtone?
Jessie is referring to a certain part in a Street Fighter comic (Sakura Legends, actually), in which Ryu typed an entire letter to Sakura in an Instant Messenger window (Even though it was Ken who set up his IM account and all, but hey). Cassy is making a crack at "Chakushin Ari" (J-Horror film that got remade into "One Missed Call"), in which a creepy nursery-like chime replaced people's regular ringtones.
Miyu: *in a creepy voice* Seven days, Ryu...
Some people live under rocks, so I have to explain this. Miyu's obviously poking a joke at "The Ring/Ringu".
Cassy: Don't make me madder!
Cassy is referring to an episode of "Living Single", in which the characters Kyle and Regine wrote a script for a film and turned themselves into a horrible Gary Stu and Mary Sue, respectively. After they finish writing, they made their friend Overton read the script (he was told to read the evil character's lines while Kyle and Regine played "themselves"). What Cassy said was one of the "evil" character's lines. Naturally, Overton found the script hilariously terrible.
Episode 4 - A Quadruple Valentine's Whammy
Jessie: Flowers perfect for Edward Cullen!
Yet another "Twilight" jab. This refers to the first book, in which Edward actually breaks into Bella's house just so he can watch her sleep at night.
Episode 5 - Sky Blue

Cassy: *shouting* Okay!
Jessie: *shouting* What?!
A reference to another Chappelle's Show skit, this time potraying the "Life of Lil' Jon".
Miyu: Complete with twenty seven stations all devoted to auto-tuning the heck out of Rebecca Black!
Current pop culture riff. Rebecca Black's known for that terrible auto-tuned song "Friday". By the way, tomorrow is Saturday, and Sunday comes afterwards. At least she didn't write the lyrics...
(Part Two)
Miyu: This is Miyuki Prower with a special news report! We're at the base of a rather snowy mountain where fourteen 8's are trapped in an avalanche! We'll bring you more details as the story progresses...
Miyu: This is Miyuki Prower with a breaking news update! It looks like the fourteen 8's have been airlifted out of the snow and are headed to a nearby hospital for treatment! Now back to our story.
Kyo: This is Kyo Baudin-LeMaire with a breaking news update. It seems that ten 8's have neglected to watch a previous news report and are now trapped in a new avalanche on the same freaking mountain. We now have to waste our tax dollars to rescue these morons.
Kyo: Kyo Baudin-LeMaire here again. Eh, the ten 8's are probably dead, buried under more snow. Witnesses don't really care and continue to say, "Who gives a crap?" Now back to our story... or lack thereof.
Kyo: Kyo LeMaire here once again. Seven 8's are now trapped in the same damn avalanche. Fuck them. Seriously.
These riffs (everything that Kyo says are all found in Part Three) are all references to another MSTing entirely. It's actually a shout out to Megane 6.7's "Mystery Science Theater 6.7", where "*R*P*M*" is riffed.
Cassy: I sure hope it's a place where Shao Kahn can make them feel welcome.
Never played Mortal Kombat, specifically, the second and third games? Shao Kahn is the Emperor of Outworld. In the third game, he was nearly successful in taking over the Earthrealm. Long story short, try not to crap a brick when you meet him.
Cassy: Or you
could reach into that crappy memory of yours and do it yourself!
Miyu: Well, at least I'm glad she isn't working as a mechanic at any
major airline. Imagine the casualties.
Kyo: On that note, I heard that Southwest has just hired her.
Reference to a Southwest Airlines incident, in which a plane's roof came off at 36,000 feet. Thank goodness nobody was hurt in that mishap.
Jessie: *as Kusanagi* Your existence on this earth! That's what's wrong!
In-joke. Jessie is poking fun at my fic, "A Story of Destined Love".
All: *chanting* Plummet! Plummet! Plummet!
Reference to the Simpsons episode "Thirty Minutes over Tokyo".
Kyo: They herd Mudkips.
Reference to a meme about the pokémon Mudkip. Specifically, "i herd you liek mudkip".

Kyo: I'm not saying that Sky's a gold digger... but she ain't messing with no broke--
"Gold Digger" is a song by Kanye West.
Kyo: Is Terry Bogard fighting on top of it?
Obvious reference to a couple of Fatal Fury games, in which a couple of Terry's stages took place on top of a train.
Cassy: *as Shadow* Getting slammed into a building by some hedgehog named Dusk. Wait, that's what happened to Sonic. Damn.
Call back to the first special with the Egg Spiral, "Ultimate".
Miyu: Well, at least they can tell the difference between Sonic and Shadow.
Apparently, people (and Amy) are incredibly stupid in telling the difference between Sonic and Shadow. Or in Amy's case, Sonic/Shadow and Sonic/Silver. This is a reference to the "hedgehog guessing" that has started since Sonic Adventure 2.
Kyo: Hmph. Estelle Getty could shoot better than these guys.
Reference to "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot".
Jessie: I'd like to create the feeling, too! Can we get Goro, Kintaro, and Motaro on the set so we can nuke her fangirl fantasies?
Goro, Kintaro, and Motaro are the sub-bosses of the first, second, and third "Mortal Kombat" games, respectively. Goro's also the sub-boss of the fourth game.
Kyo: I'd rather have Shao Kahn tell her that she sucks. It is true, but only he can make it official.
Reference to Shao Kahn's comments in the third "Mortal Kombat" game, in which he says, "It's official: You suck."
Kyo: What about cooking with you, Scorpion? I want to learn about
chopping, chopping, and more chopping!
Cassy: Don't forget tenderizing and cake decorating.
Yet another Mortal Kombat reference. This is a shout out to "Cooking With Scorpion".
Miyu: *singing* Toot toot Sonic Warrior...
Reference to the Japanese Sonic CD opening called "Sonic - You Can Do Anything". Some fans do call it "Toot Toot Sonic Warrior".
Kyo: Walter Cronkite's
rolling around in his grave right now.
Cassy: And that's the way it is.
The late Walter Cronkite was known as the "most trusted man in America". He was also known for the line that Cassy said.
Kyo: You can start by shoehorning your way into already established stories.
Jessie: Yeah, because we've already dealt with our "Chris Show". We don't need another season.
This is basically why "Sonic X" was mostly hated. Chris was known for taking Amy's spot in the Sonic Adventure 2 arc, rendering her useless. Explain to me how a little boy can remind someone of a teenaged girl.
Miyu: *as Jackie* That's crazy, Jade! You're crazy!
One of the lines often said by Jackie in "Jackie Chan Adventures".
