Fanfiction Histories and Mysteries #1: The Story of La Péril (The Danger)
Hello! I'm very happy that you've stopped by. I'm also happy to be in a lovely printable form. I'm Miyu Prower, and I'm here to give you the history on Sony Love's oldest and most progressed project that eventually turned out to be "La Péril". You will soon see it on the Fanfiction section here.
I'll do my best to break it down by series, give the information on who made their first appearances (using their La Péril incarnation names), then go individually with characters in alphabetical order by first name and personal progress. I'm sure you're ready, so let's do a little rundown of all the revisions.

1.1. Streets of Rage: The Misti Baxter Series (established around 2001, contains three stories, third story was never planned or written)
Misti was obviously the main focus here. She and Jessie were on a little tirade to avenge the death of their sister, Blaize. It was too bad that Misti was a damned Mary Sue in it.
In the first story, Misti quickly snags Axel for herself, and nearly upgrades to a sexual relationship with him on the very first date. Later, the two are randomly kidnapped, hump each other while in a cell awaiting their magical rescue, and lo and behold, Mr. X is behind the abduction. And, it turns out that he was the one responsible for Blaize's murder. The incredibly horny couple is saved by Jessie, James, Jason, and Jessa, Mr. X is killed in about ten seconds, and our six "heroes" randomly decide to join the LAPD.
In the second story, it turns out that Mr. X is alive, and he's created duplicates of our "heroes". They are framed for their actions, are forced to quit, and become fugitives. Misti was hit hard with the damsel ball, because she was constantly raped by Axel's clone... and required the original to save her in response. This nonsense basically went on for twenty more chapters.
Amy, Axel, Cammy (technically), James, Jason, Jessa, Jessica,
and Misti first appeared here. Everyone except Amy and Cammy were
known as the "classic six", "original six", or the horribly
named "Team Rage". Cammy almost had a definite role in the second story; she
popped in with Amy for a few lines together, but she never got her chance to
shine.
1.2. The Raging Fighters Saga/Cammy's Life (attempted reworking around 2003)
The story was supposed to be an overhaul of the previous work above. Cammy was removed from the main series and appeared in her own center story that was related to it. Also, it was stated that Axel and Jessa used to date each other before Misti showed her face.
There were supposed to three stories, but they were never rewritten. What I do know is that Blaize was thought to be dead by the sisters, but she was brainwashed instead. Cammy's Life was a sidestory that looked into the rather confused mind of our title character, her romance with Ken, and her relationships with the "original six" that ranged from decent to extremely strained.
Cammy (in her first true appearance), Izzy, and Ken made their first appearances here. Here's an interesting fact: all three made their debut in Cammy's Life, not the attempted rewrite of the Raging Fighters Saga.
2. The 4th Precinct (worked on around 2004)
This is self explanatory. Most of the characters happened to work with the LAPD in some manner or form. Yes, it was possible to make stories out of them, but one could only ask why none were coming out at all. Maybe S.L. lacked the inspiration and decided to rework the story yet again. Or maybe it unintentionally sounded too similar to her sister's work (the 3rd Precinct).
Story has it that S.L. kept calling her series by her sister's title on a frequent accidental basis.
Charli, Elizabeth, Felicie/Juni, Kagami, Krista/Juli, Lisa, Mayumi, Rebecca, Samantha, and Scarlet are the lucky ones to debut here.
3. La Péril (made, rehauled, and established in 2009, cast roles retooled in
2017)
Yes, you will be seeing this story soon. I'll just have to shock S.L. into writing it. Of course, I'm just kidding.
Well, this story has a main base of the 4th Precinct. Some characters have been added, others went through name changes, and others changed focus in story. So, what's the most notable change? The major player isn't Misti, as in previous incarnations. She's grown a spine, took a back seat, and Cammy and Rock are set to lead the way.
Lisbeth/März, Miss R., Rock, Sonia, and Terry gained the honor to make their introductory footprints here. Also, everyone's split into groups that cross over.

Well, now you've read the basics, so now we'll go into the meat and potatoes, which are the character histories. Like I said, they will be in alphabetical order by first name. Now, the bios don't contain height or weight, but they do hold the following things:

Amy Hunter

Group in La Péril - LAPD's 4th Precinct
Amy here has always been a part of the LAPD. In the Misti Series, she was only
mentioned and had no technical actions to perform until Cammy's Life, when she
assisted the "original six" in various situations. In La Péril, she gets a
change in hair color (brown to white), and makes a jump in rank from officer to detective.
It was probably done to
take the vacancy that Cammy, Juni, and Juli left behind in their personal transitions.
Axel Stone
Age - 25
Occupation - LAPD Sergeant
Former Occupations - Ex-cop (Misti Baxter Series), Martial Arts trainer (Raging
Fighters Saga), Guardian of Samantha and Scarlet (4th Precinct)

Aha, he can be argued as the person that started everything.
Axel's held the status as the male leader in the Misti Series. He's also had
relationships with Misti as a girlfriend in almost every revised series, Jessa
as an ex-girlfriend/fling in the Raging Fighters Saga (he was her Martial Arts
teacher), and Juni (in her Juniper/Juni incarnation) in the 4th Precinct.
Let's be honest though; it's
kind of bad when you don't get any major touch-ups for personality in about
eight years. He still has that semi hard-ass personality throughout every
story.
Well, that's what happens when you come from a game that Sega basically
abandoned that had barely any plot.
Cammy White
Age - 21
Occupation - Delta Red Agent

main appearance)
Group in La Péril - European Alliance (Delta Red)
Cammy held the most complicated roles because her
stories varied.
In the Baxter Series, she had an alliance with the "original six" with barely any strained relationships. It was turned up a notch in her center story; she was a former Syndicate Assassin with amnesia, which caused her to go a little bit bananas and end up in a mental home. She harbored a romance with Ken there, and had different relationships with the "original six", with James being the best alliance, and Axel being the unfortunate worst.
After that story dropped, she became a leader of a trio of female detectives. In the first revision of La Péril (where she's one of two main characters), she holds her well-known Delta Red status, and is shipped off to work with a few specially handpicked members of the LAPD in taking down the Alliance. If we can be specific here, she's mainly going to work with Axel... thank goodness they're going to be quite a working pair here. She was originally going to have Juni, Juli, and März join her, but that idea was later scrapped.
In the second revision, almost everything's the same, except for
the fact that Felicie/Juni now joins her as a Delta Red agent (which is now
referencing Juni's story in Street Fighter V).
Charli Flynn-Emerson

In the 4th Precinct, the woman who would become Charli was originally a
brunette and a good friend of Izzy. In La Péril, the woman that is Charli
is a happily married redhead with a son, and a newswoman of experience, who Izzy
aways looks up to.
Elizabeth Smith-Rayne
Age - 32
Occupation - LAPD Captain

I'll be blunt; Liz, the second of two married people, doesn't really
have a character history.
However, it's been spruced up a little in La Péril, in
which she watches her handpicked members closely during the fiasco. She's
actually looking at Cammy the most, since she sometimes worries about the
agent's unorthodox methods of extracting information.
Felicie Strauss

Yes, this is S.L.'s take on Juni, the former Shadowloo Doll.
In the 4th Precinct, she used to date Axel, but was dumped in favor of the painfully obvious choice of Misti. She was also allied with Cammy and Juli as the second girl in the detective trio. During the La Péril Beta, she was a Delta Red Agent working closely with the LAPD.
Now, she's a member of Theta Moon (a group similar to Delta Red, but is located in Germany). She is teamed up with Juli and März, and her personal order is to track down and make sure that Rock doesn't end up dead in the Alliance's hands... though the poor girl sometimes whines about following a teenager around, much to Juli's annoyance.
In the second revision, she's a member of Delta Red instead.
Though she's partnered with Cammy, she eventually notices Rock's actions against
the Alliance over time.
Isabella Stone

Isabella--sometimes known as Bella, but better known as Izzy--is the
feisty younger sister of Axel. In her former Alex incarnation, she allied with Cammy and Ken
at one point in Cammy's center story. In the 4th Precinct, she began her news
occupation. Izzy now plays a role in
investigating an "angel" that she saw while on the job one night.
James Daniels
Age - 23 (Misti Baxter Series), 25 (4th Precinct), 22 (La Péril)
Occupation - Former Assassin

So, it's possible to jump around in ages.
Anyway, James was the third male in the "original six"; he played a bit of a comic foil, and used to have a romantic relationship with Jessa in previous incarnations. In La Péril, he keeps a part of his comical side, but he's also a bit more serious and a little sadistic due to that former assassin occupation of his. He also has feelings for Jessie in this version.
The second revision has him being hired by Sonia to follow and
document Rock's actions against the Alliance.
Jason Whitney
Age - 24
Occupation - LAPD Officer

Jason here was the second male in the "six", and had a romantic
relationship with Jessica in the first series and the 4th Precinct. He also had
an odd like of machetes as a cop in the 4th Precinct. Unfortunately, he won't be getting a lot of screen time in La
Péril, due to his confirmed tertiary character status.
Jessa Whitney
Age - 24 (Misti Baxter Series), 23 (4th Precinct, La Péril)

Jessa was the third female in the "six", and was a rather tough cookie. She's had relationships
with Axel and James in a few revisions, but overall, she hasn't been touched too
much.
Let's be blunt though; she would've made a better leader than Misti in the
original series... she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty in the process,
beating up her adversaries and all. Sadly, she is also going to end up with the
same fate as her older brother in La Péril.
Jessica Baxter

I never knew you could age in reverse.
Anyway, Jessie here is the younger sister of Misti, and was the second female in the "six". Back then, she played rather small roles when compared to her gal-pals. In La Péril, she's a rather spritely and sneaky person who holds a fondness with Ken. I can safely say that her actions in assisting Rock just might induce someone's uncanny wrath over there in the Alliance.
In the second revision, her relationship with Ken remains... to
an extent. She's also hired by Sonia to watch Rock's actions.
Kagami

Occupation - Alliance Assassin

In the 4th Precinct, Rei Kagami (as Selma) developed friendships with Samantha and Scarlet. She may have had feelings for James, but he seemed to be too much of a hard-ass to bother with a "possible traitor". It was odd on how Axel was willing to work with her, since he was more or less a jackass to Cammy in her own story.
In La Péril, Kagami's now a ruthless
person working for the Alliance (a branch of the Syndicate) and is now Mayumi's
partner instead of her sister. She's an expert in
battle fans, and her personal mission is to eliminate Cammy. In the second
revision, she's now tasked with eliminating Juni as well, since she's Cammy's
partner.
Ken Masters
Age - 24 (4th Precinct), 27 (La Péril)
Occupation - Theta Moon Ally
Former Occupations - Ally of the "Original Six" (Cammy's Life), 4th Precinct Ally (4th Precinct)

Ken once had a relationship with Cammy in her center story and the 4th Precinct.
In La Péril, he now holds a relationship with Jessie. He's also kept the same
moral through his revisions. No matter what happens, he'll always align himself
with the side of good while keeping his individuality. And of course, the same
remains true for him in La Péril, with a little twist... he'll even risk
tarnishing his good name for it all.
Krista Reinhardt
Previous Name - Julia Rosemont (4th Precinct)

Occupation - Theta Moon Agent

In the 4th Precinct, Juli was the third girl in a detective trio. She was also a
no-nonsense woman who had a slight tinge for finding that "perfect mate".
In La Péril, she's one moody, brooding woman who almost never cracks a smile (thanks to her past life with Shadowloo), and the complete opposite to Juni's upbeat personality. She works with Juni and März in Theta Moon, and her personal mission is to track and make sure that Cammy is successful in taking the Alliance down. If Cammy ends up in any trouble, Juli is supposed to assist her with no questions asked. She admits that Juni's occasional whining of tracking Rock (and just about anything else) greatly annoys her, but she also admits that she finds her as one of her closest friends.
In the second revision, her role is the same. She now has to
watch and assist Juni as well.
Lisa Moreno

Age - 27
Occupation - LAPD Lieutenant

Lisa here underwent a personality change... from a literal hardass tart to just
a simple hardass with a possible dirty secret. That's about it, basically.
Lisbeth Kirsch

This is S.L.'s version of März, the former Shadowloo Doll.
März holds the perfect balance of Juni's upbeat nature and Juli's serious nature. She believes that her work is "fun", she is never seen without her laptop, and she always has a few tracking devices on hand in her waking hours.
In the La Péril beta, she was the only Delta Red member to remain in England and kept everyone in her group intact. In La Péril's final version, she heads to Los Angeles with Juni and Juli. Her roles are to bring all of her information to her superiors in Theta Moon and make sure that Juni and Juli are successful in tracking Rock and Cammy.
In the second revision, her role is mostly the same, but she's
only with Juli. She's now only tasked with tracking Cammy and Juni (while Rock
only ends up as a bonus of sorts).
Mayumi
Previous Names - Selena Hyatt (4th Precinct Beta), Selena Suranda (4th Precinct)
Age - 19
Occupation - Alliance Assassin
Former Occupations - Syndicate Assassin (4th Precinct, La Péril Beta)
First Appearance - 4th Precinct (as Selena), La Péril (as Mayumi)
Group in La Péril - The Alliance
As Selena, she was a rather crazy person. She was
previously dispatched to kill her twin sister Selma (who became a turncoat), and
had a rather unhealthy obsession with killing the 4th Precinct (most
specifically, Axel).
In La Péril, Mayumi Ito's blood thirst is ratcheted up to eleven
(and it hits eleven hundred on the lust scale if she's alone with Rock).
She mainly fights with a pair of sai, and her mission is to bring Rock to Miss
R. alive... that is, if she can control herself first.
Miss R.
Age - 32 (La Péril; 1st Revision), 38
Occupation - Alliance Leader
First Appearance - La Péril
Group in La Péril - The Alliance
Reyna, or Miss R., is one
psychopathic human being. She has an obsession with all sorts of firearms, and
has a portion of a slowly corrupting Los Angeles in her hands. But before she can continue, she would
like to deal with a few people first.
Misti Baxter
Age - 25 (Misti Baxter Series), 24 (4th Precinct, La Péril)
Occupation - Hired Bodyguard
Former Occupations - Ex-cop (Misti Baxter Series), LAPD Officer (4th Precinct),
Theta Moon Ally (La Péril; 1st Revision)

This girl went under the heaviest changes, from Mary Sue
to minor character.
Misti started off as the leader of the women's side in the series, though her actions weren't even close to "leaderly"... and Jessa took more charge than she ever did, which is pretty sad when you look at it. She also always got the guy she wanted in some manner or form in her previous incarnations, which made her a very boring main character.
In La Péril, she now holds the role of being
the physically strongest member in the Raging Fighters. Change is good. The
second revision adds her as a hired muscle by Sonia.
Rebecca Smith
Age - 24
Occupations - Tech Intern, Guardian of Samantha and Scarlet
First Appearance - 4th Precinct
Group in La Péril - L.A. Trio
Rebecca is Elizabeth's younger sister. She doesn't really have a character
history, unless you ignore the fact that there was a 4th Precinct side story in
which she was paired with Jessica in a rather... friendly manner.
Anyway, her role in La Péril isn't too significant, aside from
taking care of Samantha and Scarlet, and being one of the few witnesses to notice the "angel"
on that fateful night.
Rock Howard
Age - 17
Occupation - High School Student
First Appearance - La Péril
Group in La Péril - Southtown Trio
Yep, this is the other person who's driving the lead car... or something
like that. No matter how you slice it, the fact remains that Rock will still
have that old burden of the "Howard Legacy" that he's constantly trying to
escape. Ironically, the burden is what brings him to Los Angeles in the first
place. But hey, that's what happens when you're the son of Geese Howard.
Whoops, I shouldn't have said that.
Samantha Hayes
Age - 9
Occupation - Elementary School Student
First Appearance - 4th Precinct
Group in La Péril - L.A. Trio
In the 4th Precinct, Sam served as one of two girls that were under Axel's care
(the other being Scarlet). She was also a bit of a know-it-all. Really, what nine year old knows the relationships of her foster father
in all that good detail, huh?
In La Péril, she's under Rebecca's care
(same with Scarlet), loses the smart-aleck
status, and is more or less a gentle person, which is proven with her sisterly
relationship with Sonia (or "Sissy", as she calls her).
Scarlet Sherman
Age - 17
Occupation - High School Student
First Appearance - 4th Precinct
Group in La Péril - L.A. Trio
Scarlet (or "Red", thanks to her name and red hair) took a few revisions.
In the 4th Precinct, she was quite the boy-hater and fighting addict. She also assisted the force as a vigilante under the alias "Firefox" in a few occasions.
In La Péril, she still has a little of her rough side, gains a like of switchblades, and has a crush on Rock. She has also inherited Misti's old unfortunate title in the first revision... the occasional "damsel-in-distress". Well, at least the good thing is that she won't get raped... or require Rock to save her during every waking moment. The poor boy already has enough problems on his own plate for that garbage.
The second revision keeps everything, but her
"damsel-in-distress" role has been eliminated.
Sonia Sheridan
Age - 16
Occupation - High School Student
First Appearance - La Péril
Group in La Péril - Southtown Trio
Sonia got a few tweaks from her original KOF counterpart here. She's two years
younger, her hair is longer, and she's one stubborn
schoolgirl.
Her curiosity pulls her into a role; she wants to find out why
her "brother" Rock spearheaded the temporary move to Los Angeles. In
the revision, she secretly hires Jessie, Misti, and James to get the answers (of
course. She'll find
out the hard way that some questions are better left unanswered.
Terry Bogard
Age - 29
Occupation - Guardian of Rock and Sonia
First Appearance - La Péril
Group in La Péril - Southtown Trio
Look, if Terry didn't exist, Rock and Sonia wouldn't be in Los Angeles in
the first place. He is their guardian, after all.
It's too bad that his main role's already used up before the story even begins, and that's rather unfortunate. But you have to know, he'll be useful in giving his adopted son some advice from time to time, and he'll play some important roles with Sonia, Rebecca, and Ken, so it won't be a total waste.
