Jellyfin 10.11.x Live TV Metadata and Cache Hard Reset     2026/05/20

This has to be done periodically, as the TV channels in the Detroit and its
Metro area keep shifting and changing over time. Its icons also change as a
result, so the old icons are stuck if not done at any point.

This is not needed for Jellyfin 10.10.x, as the NextPVR plugin can be disabled,
then the Refresh Guide Data button can be used to clear the Live TV cache and
metadata. This button is NOT functional in 10.11.x after the NextPVR plugin is
disabled.


be superuser (root)

rm -R /var/lib/jellyfin/metadata/livetv
rm -R /var/cache/jellyfin/images
rm -R /var/cache/jellyfin/channels

possible reboot of the server (untested)

Refresh Guide Data [2x] - The channel icons do not show up until it is
refreshed a second time
