For Episodes 6-8

Episode 6 - miharu's story of star comand

(Part One)

Miyu: And then he got madder and threw his phone on the couch...

Miyu: ...then she threw her phone on the couch.

The second one from Miyu is in Part Two. I promise that's going to be the last call back to "The attack of Akuma". At least when it comes to the phone on the couch part.

Miyu: ...then John was a zombie.

Reference to the infamous badfic "DOOM: Repercussions of Evil".

(Part Two)

Kyo: I wonder if she'll remain completely calm when she's thrown into a volcano.

This riff's a bit iffy to say if it's obscure or not, but I'll explain it anyway. Kyo may or may not be referencing the event in which Kazuya Mishima was thrown into a volcano. By his father.

Kyo: Darth Vader-1.5's her dad? Yeah, and I'm filled with love, sunshine, and lollipops.

If you look hard enough, there are actually two references in Kyo's question. The first one is an in-joke; the "1.5" that Kyo's referring to has to do with another jab at yours truly. He must've been reading "The Final Struggle". The second one references an event where Zurg pretends to say that he's Buzz's father in an effort to trick him.

Kyo: ...and then he flew through some crappy rings, Superman style.

Kyo's on a roll here. This reference is to "Superman 64".

Kyo: What the hell is this? Am I watching "Ermac In Ancient Times" here?
Cassy: *as Ermac* We are Pharaoh.

This is a reference to the "Mortal Kombat" character, Ermac. The character does look like a male, but is basically an amalgam of souls that refer to... themselves using the terms "we", "us", and "our".

(Part Three)

Kyo: He went down the edge of the row, turned the lawnmower ninety degrees at the end, and then mowed the next row.
Miyu: Cloud turned the lawnmower ninety degrees and then mowed the next row.
Cassy: Cloud turned the lawnmower ninety degrees and then mowed the next row.
Jessie: Cloud turned the lawnmower ninety degrees and then mowed the next row.

Very, very obscure reference. This references a Final Fantasy VII fic called "Lawnmower Man". And yes, most of the fic consisted of that one sentence that the Black Crow ladies repeated.

Episode 7 - All Men Apparently Suck

Cassy: Unless she talks behind your back, Naruto.

Reference to the Naruto dub, where the titular character used to say "Believe it!" as a catchphrase.

Jessie: Yes, because all women want kids. Is this a list co-written by Meyer here?

As if we hadn't had enough "Twilight" jabs here. This references the message that women in the series aren't happy unless they have children. By the way, you're boned if you're infertile, too.

Kyo: Ask a certain Kusanagi member about that stuff, and then come back to us.

How many jabs must Kyo make at me? He's referring to the last chapter in "Kusanagi's Wrath".

Episode 8 - Sonic: Dead or Alive?

Kyo: "Darkness"? Oh, crap! We're not reading that garbage fic that Sonic told us about, are we?

Kyo: Yep, it's that fic that Sonic told us about. We're screwed.

Cassy: Now if only other canon characters could tell off their Relative!Sues like that...

Miyu: *dressed in a magician's outfit* Yes, she can! Also, she can mangle the plot, just like Amy Rose's "sister" can! But you must ask for one request at a time; there are too many Black Hole Sues out there.

Yes, it even spreads to the Black Crow. Apparently, Sonic has vented about "The White Hedgehog" to them... with good reason. Cassy's riff is in general, but yes, that could even count as a jab.

Cassy: *woodenly* Oh, look. It's another one of Tails's relatives. Wonderful.
Miyu: *nervously laughs*

It's a call back and an in joke. Miyu is Tails's (distant) cousin. It's proven in a riff in "Sky Blue", where Miyu does address Tails by "Cousin Tails" in one of her riffs.

Jessie: Knuckles? He wasn't in that show. Where the hell did he come from?
Miyu: Why don't you ask Dulcy that same question?

Miyu's making a jab at SatAM itself. Dulcy has appeared without any real explanation when the second season began.

Kyo: Lesson number one in language abuse... to make yourself sound "edgy", abuse harsher curse words like "fuck" and "shit". Let's go to the online gaming circuit for our field trip today, kids.

Oh, isn't that the truth. Seriously, go online on your own someday, or look for ragemails on YouTube, or ask any of your friends who play online, and you'll get some wonderful stories of colorful language. I guarantee it.

Kyo: Look, I may or may not have done that, okay? Besides, Mary Sues can heal themselves with adamantium.

Adamantium is a fictional metallic alloy that is indestructible and is fused with a person's skeletal system. A well known recipient of the alloy is Wolverine. Yes, that one. Kyo's just making a jab at Mary Sues with plot convenience powers, like accelerated healing, which is only one of the "benefits" of said alloy.

Miyu: *adjusts glasses* Hey... at least geeks can make boatloads of money.
Kyo: Why do you think I stopped making fun of them?

It's just another obvious truth about life. Let's move along.

Jessie: *in a monotonous tone* Help... save me... Sonic... Help... save me... Sonic...

This is a reference to an episode from "Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog", in which a poorly done Tails doll (no, not the one from Sonic R) was used to attempt to capture Sonic with the words that Jessie said. And Sonic's reaction? He found it hilarious.

Kyo: Maybe I should call Dick Cheney and see if he's still shooting people in their faces.

Reference to the Dick Cheney hunting incident of 2006.

Jessie: Yeah, but he's no Dante.
Miyu: Which one?
Jessie: The non-smoking one.

Jessie's poking fun at the new design of Dante from the "Devil May Cry" reboot.
