This drive was released only in Japan and is pretty much a cut-down PX-708A
drive. In fact, you could flash the PX-708A firmware to this drive! However,
owners in Japan would flash this firmware on their PX-708A drives because
apparently it burned audio CDs better.

Ths drive was also rebadged as the BUFFALO DVM-H44FB.
