Installation and use
4 GB memory size reported incorrectly during POST
The BIOS will report 3,999 MB extended memory. The OS can access all of the installed memory. This issue is caused by an erratum in the ServerWorks* III LE chipset.
The /PAE option must be enabled in the ARC path in the boot.ini file in order for Windows* 2000 to recognize memory above 4.0GB (e.g. multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Windows 2000 Advanced Server" /PAE /basevideo /sos)

BMC firmware update utility produces garbage characters
Copy ANSI.SYS to the root of the floppy. If the floppy was created from Microsoft Windows* 98, the file must be copied from the C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND directory. If the floppy was created from DOS, the ANSI.SYS file must be copied from the C:\DOS directory.

Chassis fans cannot be plugged into the Intel® SBT2 Server Board
Plug fans into the hot swap backplane (HSB).

Hot Swap Controller (HSC) firmware update is not possible
The Intel® STL2 Server Board and Intel® SBT2 Server Board do not support an I2C interface connection between the server board and the chassis' hot swap backplane / SAF-TE card. An Intel® L440GX+ Server Board may be installed in the chassis in order to perform the HSC firmware update.

Ultra160 Termination Requirement
The Ultra160 channel on the Intel® SBT2 baseboard is properly terminated. This termination cannot be disabled on the SBT2. The SCSI backplane in the Intel® SC5000 server chassis also provide the correct onboard termination and properly terminates the SCSI bus.

Compatibility
Tested Chassis
SC5000 chassis with the 350 watt redundant power supply (1 +1) and updated front panel, part KHDHSRPU. The AXXHSDRVUG and AHDRACK accessories are also compatible.
