Note This guideline applies to any products offered for sale under a site-license. This guideline does not apply to an application that is sold only at retail to consumers for a single user license, such as a game.
Your application should be capable of running directly from source in the case of CD or network installations. This should be accomplished with no local computer footprint. Local use of the registry is considered zero-footprint when it is unavoidable.
