An optional description section provides additional text information about the .asf file. The information in the description section appears in the NetShow Player title bar or on the NetShow Player Properties page. The description section can list four possible types of information: Program Title, Program Description, Program Author, and Copyright. A description section looks like this:
[description] Program Title=Dawn of the Automobile Industry Program Description=This .asf file gives a complete history of the first 50 years of the automobile industry. Program Author=A.J. Petty Program Copyright=1997
To add a description section to an .asx file, on the line following the reference section, enter the description section. If the reference and description sections above were part of the same .asx file, it would look like this:
[reference] Ref1 = mms://servername/publpt/filename.asf Ref2 = http://servername/publpt/filename.asf [description] Program Title=Dawn of the Automobile Industry Program Description=This .asf file gives a complete history of the first 50 years of the automobile industry.
