Opening a Configuration File

A configuration (.asd) file contains the settings for all Real-Time Encoder properties. When you open a configuration file, the encoder is ready to start streaming ASF information. If you have a configuration that you want to use, but you need to make a few changes to it, you can edit the configuration file.

To open a configuration file

  1. Open the ASF Real-Time Encoder.
  2. On the File menu, click Open.

    The Open dialog box appears.

  3. Browse to the directory that contains the configuration files.
  4. Select the configuration you want, and click Open.

All ASF Real-Time Encoder properties are set and the Start panel opens. You are ready to start the encoder.
