Unicast content is made up of .asf files. NetShow Server cannot unicast an ASF stream. When NetShow Server unicasts an .asf file, the server delivers the packets of streaming information directly to a specific client. Other clients can request the same .asf file, but they each have their own connection to NetShow Server. Unicasting content uses more network bandwidth than multicasting.
