Once you've created NetShow content, you'll need to host it. The NetShow server software is installed on a Windows NT Server® computer, and allows you to unicast or multicast live or stored content, or multicast files to users' computers.
The fact that the Microsoft NetShow server is built on Windows NT means that you can take advantage of its reliability, scalability, performance, and cost effectiveness. It is also complementary to other Windows NT-based products like the Internet Information Server, Site Server, and Internet Explorer.

There are some basic steps to serving up NetShow content. This chart is meant to be used as a guideline only. Resources are listed to provide you with more detailed information. Also, there are third-party companies that provide NetShow hosting services and stored NetShow content creation services.
