NetShow Player

This is what allows you to play NetShow content, either in its standalone player or embedded in a Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator Web page, or in a custom application created with a program like Microsoft Visual Basic or Microsoft Visual C++.

NetShow Player for Windows 98, Windows 95 or Windows NT 4

NOTE: NetShow clients for Windows 3.x, Windows NT 3.51, Macintosh, and UNIX players are also available from the NetShow downloads page at http://www.microsoft.com/netshow/download.htm.


NetShow Tools

The NetShow Tools install brings you several components that help you create NetShow content. More information on the NetShow Tools is available in the Creating section.

NetShow Server

The NetShow server software install allows you to unicast or multicast live or stored content. It includes the NetShow server software, and administration tools.


NetShow Software Development Kits (SDKs) NetShow Software Development Kits are in the NetShow 2.0 On-Line Documentation. SDKs are included in the following areas:
