SYMPTOMS
========

When your document is protected for forms or comments (annotations in some
versions of Word):

 - The Field Codes command is not available (dimmed) on the View tab and you
   cannot toggle field codes on or off. (To locate the View tab, click Options
   on the Tools menu.)

 - You cannot toggle field codes using the shortcut keys.

 - Your fields are not updated.

CAUSE
=====

By design, if your document is protected for Comments/Annotations or Forms, you
are unable to toggle or update field codes.

RESOLUTION
==========

To view toggle or update field codes, unprotect the form.
