  1. The default Internet browser to view this document is Microsoft  Internet Explorer version 4.0 (or later version). Please check your current browser's version and link to http://www.microsoft.com if you want to update it. 

  2. Please position the cursor inside the graph and click the button for more information. 

  3. It should be noted that CD PRO will detect your system's configuration when it is loaded. It will then show the buttons according to the on-boarded devices it detects. If you move the cursor on those buttons, CD PRO shows you the drivers that are required for those on-boarded devices. Some of the buttons will not be shown if CD PRO does not find those on-boarded devices.

IDE BUS MASTER:

        Installs the IDE bus master drivers. These drivers can enhance
        system performance.
        There are three possible cases:
        Case 1: Installs the AMD IDE Bus Master driver  for Win9X/NT
        Case 2: Installs the Intel IDE Bus Master driver  for Win9X/NT
        Case 3: Installs the VIA Bus Master IDE driver  for Win9X/NT

        Installs the patch files required for the Intel and the VIA chipsets.

Install Audio Driver:

        Installs the drivers that support the on-boarded audio devices only.
        (NOTES: If CD PRO does not detect any on-boarded audio devices, this
        button will not be shown.)
        The drivers in the CD support the audio devices released by ESS,
        Yamaha and Creative, Crystal and VIA.
        The following instructions show you more details about how to install
        appropriate drivers.
        There are six types of drivers:

          For The Yamaha 715:

        Windows 95:
          If your OS is Windows 95 and you decide to install the Yamaha 715
        drivers, the procedures are listed as follows.
        First, you need to delete the existing audio driver:

        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item, select System item.
        3. Choose Device Manager item.
        4. Press Delete button to delete the "PCI Multimedia
           Device" then, start to install the new driver:
        5. Choose Refresh button. Windows will then start to find any
           unknown device.
        6. Type in the appropriate directory path where the Yamaha 715 driver exists
           ( CDROM: \Audio\Yamaha\Yam715\Win95)
        7. Press OK button . It will then start to install the driver.

        Windows 98:
          If your OS is Windows 98 and you decide to install the Yamaha 715
        drivers, the procedures are listed as follows.
        Windows 98 can automatically detect the audio device.
        If you want to update new driver, you can follow these steps:

        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item, select System item.
        3. Choose Device Manager item.
        4. Double click sound, video and game controllers item.
        5. Double click Yamaha OPL3-SAx WDM Driver.
        6. It will show a window. Then press the device driver item.
        7. Press Update driver... button
        8. It will show "Update device driver wizard" window.
           Then press next button.
        9. Next window press "specify a location" button.
        10. Type in the appropriate directory path where the Yamaha 715 driver exists
           ( CDROM: \Audio\Yamaha\Yam715\Win98)
        11. Press OK button . It will then start to install the driver.

        Windows NT:
          If your OS is Windows NT and you decide to install the Yamaha 715 drivers,
        the procedures are listed as follows.
        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item, select
           Multimedia icon.
        3. Choose Device item.
        4. Select Add button. It will show a window
          ("unlist or updated driver")
        5. Press OK button, It will show a window.
        6. Type in the appropriate directory path where the Yamaha 715 driver exists
           \Audio\Yamaha\Yam715\WinNT.
        7. Press OK button and follow prompts. It will then start to
           install the driver.
      
        For The Crystal 4280: 

        Windows NT:
          If your OS is Windows NT and you decide to install the Crystal drivers,
        the procedures are listed as follows.
        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item, select Multimedia icon.
        3. Choose Device item.
        4. Select Add button. It will show a window
          ("unlist or updated driver")
        5. Press OK button, it will show a window.
        6. Type in the appropriate directory path where the Crystal driver exists
           \Audio\Crystal\WinNT4.
        7. Press OK button and follow prompts. It will then start to install the
           driver.

  
       For The Intel 810 AC'97: 
 
       Crystal 4299 Codec 

        NOTES: CD PRO should be able to automatically start the Crystal 4299 Codec installing
               wizard. In case you experience any difficulty, please manually install
               the drivers follow the following instructions.

              Windows 95:
          If your OS is Windows 95 and you decide to install the Crystal 4299 Codec drivers,
        the procedures are listed as follows.
        First, you need to delete the existing audio driver:
        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item,
           select System item.
        3. Choose Device Manager item.
        4. Press Delete button to delete the "PCI Multimedia
           Device" Then, start to install the new driver:
        5. Choose Refresh button. Windows will then start to find any
           unknown device.
        6. Type in the appropriate directory path where the Crystal 4299 Codec driver exists
           \Audio\Intel810\Crystal\Win9x.
        7. Press OK button. It will then start to install the driver.

               Windows NT:
         If your OS is Windows NT and you decide to install the Crystal 4299 Codec drivers,
        the procedures are listed as follows.
        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item, select
           Multimedia icon.
        3. Choose Device item.
        4. Select Add button. It will show a window
          ("unlist or updated driver")
        5. Press OK button, It will show a window.
        6. Type in the appropriate directory path where the Crystal 4299 Codec driver exists
           \Audio\Intel810\Crystal\WinNt.
        7. Press OK button and follow prompts. It will then start to
           install the driver.

        on-boarded audio devices.

Install Video Driver:

        The drivers in the CD support the video devices released by ATI, Intel,
        Matrox, VIA and SIS.
        (NOTES: If CD PRO does not detect any on-boarded video devices, this button
               will not be shown.)
        The following instructions give details about how to install the appropriate
        drivers.


          For VIA MVP4 drivers: 

           Windows 95/98:
          If your OS is Windows 95 or 98 and you decide to install VIA MVP4
          (Triden8400)AGP VGA drivers, the procedures are listed as follows.
        1.  Select the My Computer icon.
        2.  Select the Control Panel icon.
        3.  Select the System icon.
        4.  Click the Device Manager tab.
        5.  Double-Click the Display Adapters selection.
        6.  Click on the adapter (e.g., VGA) that this driver is replacing.
        7.  Click on the Driver tab.
        8.  Click the Update Driver... button.
        9.  The Update Device Driver Wizard window should now open.
       10. Click the Next button.
       11. Select the following option: "Display a list of all the drivers..." and click Next.
       12. Click Have Disk where the VIA MVP4 AGP VGA driver
                 exists (CDROM:\VIDEO\MVP4\WIN9X)and click Enter.
       13. Proceed according to the remaining prompts.It will then start to install the driver.
                  And click Finish to restart windows.
	   
           Windows NT:
          If your OS is Windows NT and you decide to install VIA MVP4(Trident 8400)
         AGP VGA drivers, the procedures are listed as follows.
        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item, select display item.
        3. Choose Setting item.
        4. Select Advanced button.
        5. Choose Adapter item.
        6. Select Change button.
        7. Type in the appropriate directory path where the VIA MVP4 AGP VGA
           driver exists VIDEO\MVP4\WINNT. and click OK
        8. Proceed according to the remaining prompts. It will then start to install
             the driver.Close all windows and reboot in order to use the new driver.
           Windows 2K:
          If your OS is Windows 2K and you decide to install VIA MVP4(Trident 8400)
         AGP VGA drivers, the procedures are listed as follows.
        1.  Select the My Computer icon.
        2.  Select the Control Panel icon.
        3.  Select the System icon.
        4.  You should be in the System Properties window.
        5.  Click on the Hardware tab.
        6.  Click the Device Manager button.
        7.  Click the Display Adapters selection.
        8.  The current list of adapters is displayed.
        9.  Click on the adapter (e.g., VGA) that this driver is replacing.
       10. Click on the Driver tab.
       11. Click the Update Driver... button.
       12. The Upgrade Device Driver Wizard window should now open.
       13. Click the Next button.
       14. Select the following option: "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can        
            choose a specific driver" and click Next.
       15. Click the Have Disk button.
       16. Click on "Browse" and go to the directory where the files were extracted in step 1. Go to the         
               Win2K directory (CDROM:\VIDEO\MVP4\WIN2k)and click OK.
       17. Proceed according to the remaining prompts and click Next.
                  Close all windows and reboot in order to use the new driver.
         Windows ME:
          If your OS is Windows ME and you decide to install VIA MVP4
          (Triden8400)AGP VGA drivers, the procedures are listed as follows.
        1.  Select the My Computer icon.
        2.  Select the Control Panel icon.   
        3.  Select the "View all control panel options".
        4.  Select the System icon.
        5.  Click the Device Manager tab.
        6.  Double-Click the Display Adapters selection.
        7.  Click on the adapter (e.g., VGA) that this driver is replacing.
        8.  Click on the Driver tab.
        9.  Click the Update Driver... button.
       10.  The Update Device Driver Wizard window should now open.
       11. Click the Next button.
       12. Select the following option: "Display a list of all the drivers..." and click Next.
       13. Click Have Disk where the VIA MVP4 AGP VGA driver
                 exists (CDROM:\VIDEO\MVP4\WIN9X)and click Enter.
       14. Proceed according to the remaining prompts.It will then start to install the driver.
                  And click Finish to restart windows.

 
         For SIS620 drivers: 

               Windows NT:
          If your OS is Windows NT and you decide to install SIS620 AGP VGA
        drivers, the procedures are listed as follows.
        1. Go to Start button, select Setting item.
        2. Choose Control Panel item, select display item.
        3. Choose Setting item.
        4. Select Advanced button.
        5. Choose Adapter item.
        6. Select Change button.
        7. Type in the appropriate directory path where the SIS620 AGP VGA driver
           exists VGA\SIS620\WINNT.
        8. Press OK button and follow prompts. It will then start to install
                  the driver.

        Installs some useful utility supported from ATI for your on-boarded devices.

Hardware Monitor:

        Installs utility software, i.e. 1stAID, to monitor system's voltages,
        temperatures and fan speeds.(Only supports Winbond 781, 782 and VT686
        hardware monitor ICs.)

        their newest driver information.
