DESCRIPTION:
This package provides the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver for the listed 
workstation models and operating systems. 

NOTE: Refer to the Prerequisites section for important information regarding 
the installation of this driver. Users creating their own disk images must 
first install the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) driver before 
installing the Realtek driver. The Microsoft UAA driver provides the necessary 
support for the high definition (HD) audio bus used by the Realtek HD audio 
CODEC. Users who are upgrading to this newer driver on an existing system, 
should ensure that the UAA driver is already installed on your system. The UAA 
driver may be listed on your system as the ''High Definition Audio Driver 
Package.''

ENHANCEMENTS: 
- Disables microphone calibration until Beam Forming microphone support is 
enabled.

FIXES: 
- Fixes issue where popping or static is heard when playing the Tomb Raider: 
Legend Demo. 
- Fixes several language translation-related issues.
- Fixes several issues that occur with the Realtek Control Panel when high 
contrast schemes are enabled.
- Fixes issues where user cannot navigate to all Reatlek Control Panel settings 
using the keyboard's Tab key.

PREREQUISITES: 
- The Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) driver must be installed 
before installing the driver in this SoftPaq. 

NOTE: There are separate UAA drivers for different versions of the operating 
system. For example, the Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP with 
Service Pack 1, and Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 Operating Systems 
each have a different UAA driver. The UAA drivers are available from Microsoft, 
or are also available from HP on the Software and Drivers website.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 
1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive. 

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
