for the latest maintenance releases of HP ProLiant ML570 G3 Servers.

        HP ProLiant ML570 G3 system ROM P37 (02/09/2006)
        =================================================

	     1) Resolved issue where kernel panics or hangs can occur when processors 
		with different steppings are installed in the same system.  The 
		problem only occurs when a newer stepping processor is installed as 
		Processor 1.  This issue has been seen with systems supporting the 
		64-bit Intel Xeon Processor MP 3.66 GHz/667 MHz - 1MB L2 and 
		64-bit Intel Xeon Processor MP 3.16 GHz/667 MHz - 1MB L2 processors 
		as there are multiple steppings of these processors currently shipping. 
		This was a BIOS issue.  Mixing Processor steppings within a system is 
		fully supported.

	     2) Updated System ROM with the latest support code for Intel Xeon
		MP processors.  This support code is recommended for customer's
		enabling Virtualization Technology (VT).

HOW TO USE:


1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP32278.EXE.


3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP32278.exe [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.


4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP32278.EXE if you wish.
