DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated firmware images
               for the latest releases of HP ProLiant ML110 G2
               Lights-Out 100i Remote Management.


New Features -


        ProLiant ML110 G2 Lights-Out 100i Ver. 1.21
        ===========================================

IMPORTANT: After upgrading to the ProLiant ML110 G2 BMC Firmware V1.21 
           the BMC may not be recognized during POST when connecting 
           the server to AC power and immediately powering on. 
           Upgrading the ML110 G2 system ROM to version 1.12 or later 
           will prevent this issue.

           1. Added support for SSL Encrypted browser communication.

	   2. Added support for SSH Encrypted command line interface communication.

	   3. Added support for DMTF SMASH Command Line Protocol.

	   4. Added support for IPMI 2.0.

           5. Added Operator user account.

	   6. Added minor changes to the HTML user interface to improve 
	      clarity and consistency.


Problems Fixed -


        ProLiant ML110 G2 Lights-Out 100i Ver. 1.21
        ===========================================

           
           1. Updated to change the CPU fan alert threshold to prevent 
	      reporting false alerts. 

	   2. Updated to display the "last restart" cause in the BMC 
	      virtual power webpage correctly.

	   3. Updated to turn the server off in addition to shutting down 
	      the OS via the Lights Out Functionality after using the halt 
	      command in Linux.


Known Problems -
 
	   1. Lights-Out 100 connections intermittently drop when using Windows 
	      2003 EMS.   This will be fixed in a future maintenance release.





HOW TO USE:

1.  Obtain a formatted 1.44 MB diskette.

2.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
The file that is downloaded is SP31240.EXE.

3.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:
SP31240 [ENTER]
You will be prompted to place the formatted 1.44 MB diskette into a diskette drive to
create diskette.

4.  After the diskette is created, you may delete the downloaded file
SP31240.EXE if you wish.
