The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information. This information can be saved into a text file by selecting File/Save to Diskette. By selecting "NONE" a drive can be made unbootable and inaccessible through BIOS services. - Ensures the BIOS supports accessing 360K and 1.2M 5.25" media in high density 5.25" diskette drives. Also ensures the BIOS supports accessing 720K, 1.2M Toshiba format, 1.232M NEC format, and 1.44M 3.5" media in 3.5" diskette drives. - Adds support for E0 stepping of Intel Pentium 4 processors. - Updates microcode patch support for Intel Pentium 4 models wC1 F0A, wDo F12, and nB0 F24. - In Replicated Setup, the "Advanced\Onboard Devices" menu is now Saved to & Restored from Diskette. - Increases number of video adapters supported in F10 Setup from 5 to 15. Functionally, more than 5 video adapters worked fine, but did not display correctly in F10 Setup. - Ensures hard drive inactivity timers are disabled when booting to an ACPI-enabled operating system. This prevents the drives from spinning down unless directed to do so by the operating system. - Provices processors serial number functionality for Intel-based systems. FIXES: - Corrects issue of Setup thinking a password was set after a Restore from Diskette operation had been performed with a CPQSETUP.TXT file that was obtained from a configuration with no password. Even though no password was set, F10 Setup reflected passwords were set after a Restore from Diskette until the system was rebooted. - Corrects an F10 Setup display problem involving non-hard disk devices and the F5=Set Defaults option available in the device details screen under the "Device Configuration" option of the "Storage" menu. - Prevents a potential lockup situation when using Windows ME and two optical drives or Windows XP and three optical drives. - Ensures the emulation type of attached devices is not corrupted when system information is restored from CPQSETUP.TXT (e.g. "Restore from Diskette" in F10 Setup). - Ensures IDE device information is accurately saved and restored via the "Save to Diskette" and "Restore from Diskette" options in F10 Setup. - Ensures changes are made to the mass storage device options by selecting "Set Defaults and Exit" in F10 Setup.
