Enhancements/Fixes: This version (6.0.4000.310) of the Compaq 64-Bit/66Mhz Wide Ultra3 Controller Driver for Windows NT 4.0 fixes intermittent Adpu160m event ID 9 errors seen in the NT event log while performing tape backups using the Adaptec based 64-bit/66-Mhz Wide Ultra3 SCSI Controllers with a multiple LUN tape storage system connected such as the CPQ 12/24 or 20/40 GB DAT Autoloader devices. This error condition may render the tape devices inaccessible and can happen on any Proliant system with the Compaq 64-Bit/66Mhz Wide Ultra3 Controller Driver, adpu160m.sys, version 6.0.4000.200 (or earlier)for Windows NT 4.0. This error occurs when attempting to perform tape backups with applications such as Arcserve 2000 or Veritas Backup Exec for Windows NT/2000 while other applications that also request or send SCSI commands such as the CPQ Survey Utility, CPQ Insight Storage Agent, or the CPQ Tape Storage Management Console are concurrently running in the background. The 6.0.4000.310 version of the driver fixes a problem the Adaptec based Ultra 160 controller and previous releases or the driver had dealing with multiple non-tagged commands. HOW TO USE: 1.
