Support is included for the following adapters: Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection This 8.0.0.167 version is not supported as an upgrade if you are using the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 LAN MiniPCI Adapter or the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100A LAN MiniPCI Adapter. Rather a 7.X.x.x release is the recommended software for these adapters. 2) Installing the adapter driver ----------------------------------------- NOTE: You must install the device driver BEFORE installing PROSet. You must install the base drivers according to the methods and requirements specific to each operating system. You can find the installation information for most popular operating systems in the Online User Guide. To access the User Guide, double-click the AUTORUN.EXE file in the root of this archive. Then click “View User Guides”. Follow the links in the documentation for installation instructions. 3) Installing Intel Wireless PROSet -------------------------------------------- PROSet is a separate installable module in this software release. NOTE: You must install the device driver BEFORE installing PROSet. To install PROSetII, simply run AUTORUN.EXE from the root of this archive and select "Install Software". 4) Compatibility ---------------- This release supports only Windows XP (Home/PRO/Tablet) and Windows 2000 PRO. This release supports the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection Not supported are the PRO/Wireless 2011/2011B PC Card, or the PRO/Wireless 5000 Cardbus or PCI adapters - these adapters are support by Intel Connections version 6.2. Not supported are the PRO/Wireless 2100/2100A LAN MiniPCI Adapter - these adapters are supported by version 7.x. Not supported are the PRO/Wireless 2011B USB device and the 2011B PCI Adapter - these adapters are supported by their own respective software. Windows XP is supported by this version of Wireless PROSet. You can manage your wireless connections either by the built-in utilities of Windows XP or via PROSet. If you desire to use Windows XP to manage the wireless connection, you need only to install the device driver - and not install PROSet.
