Hi again Judi:

Yes, the two images you mention would be fine for your use, with the same photo credit/copyright info.

Good luck with your project!  I'll check the weblink you gave in a few months to see the finished product.

Thanks again,

Vicki

Sorry to bother you one more time, but I’m adding a slide about the observatory on Mount Graham. Could we also use the two pictures featured on the following web page: http://ag.arizona.edu/research/redsquirrel/links.html . Again, this would be for non-profit, educational use.

Thanks again for your consideration.

Hi Judi:

Thank you for contacting us.  Sorry for the tardy reply, but the university was closed last week for the holidays...now back to work!

Yes, your proposed use for the map image and photo of the squirrel (I presume you meant the one shown on the home page of the website?) sound quite acceptable, provided the not for profit use.

As far as photo credit and copyright...I can't find a standard for the Univ of Arizona, but found some other departments suggesting a credit such as:

Photo by SNR-MGBP, ©2006 Regents, University of Arizona

The abbreviations are School of Natural Resources - Mt. Graham Biology Programs  if you want to spell it out, but the abbreviation is just fine as well to save some space.

If there is a weblink to see how our information is used in your project, we would be interested in seeing that.  Please let me know.

If you have any further questions, please contact me.

Thank You,

Vicki

We are currently revising teacher unit plan resources that include samples of student projects. We would like to use your map of the location for Mount Graham Red Squirrels, which is posted on http://ag.arizona.edu/research/redsquirrel/main.html.

Would you grant us the permission to use it in our student samples? The project would be posted on the Intel® Innovation in Education Web site (www.intel.com/education), as well as located on possible training CDs for Intel® Teach to the Future (www.intel.com/education/teach), a teacher professional development program that helps teachers integrate technology into their units that focus on higher order thinking skills. These projects could also be translated for use in other countries that are using the Intel Teach to the Future curriculum.

Of course, we would cite you as the copyright owner and include a link to your web site. In all cases, the curriculum and companion CD and Web site access will never be sold or used for profit. Will you give Intel permission to include your map in a project on its training CDs and Web site?

Thank you for your consideration.
