Chapter 2: What of Precious?!

It is now 7:03 AM. Precious then wakes up and sees a hypnotized version of Knuckles, which he is still in his Security Officer uniform. The five holes in both of Knuckles's arms are still visible. As Precious didn't see, the same exact pattern is on both of his legs! The Duplicator is also there. "What are they going to do to me? I only know of Knuckles and the second phase. That means Knux will do the first phase, and... A clone named May... and I will turn evil just after that!" Then she says, "Have to... get... out of... here..." *Snap!* The two look back.

It is 7:05 AM. She has broken out of the straps! Precious says, "It has been time to vanquish your evil side, Knuckles! And Knux, you will faint as one of Amy-Chan's curses." Precious then vanquishes Knuckles's evil side, and the holes disappear. Knux faints. Knuckles looks at his watch. He says, "My work time ends at 2 PM! It's 7:06 AM! I'll have to go, Precious! Wait until 2:45 today for the interview! And thanks for all you've done." "Okay, Knuckles! And you're very welcome," she says back. He then leaves. She takes some of her supplies out of her backpack. She says to herself, "Okay... That's all I need for now!" and puts them back in the pack, having no clue of Knux standing behind her, although he has fainted for only two minutes. When she turns around to set it up, it startles her to see Knux right behind her! He says, "What do you think you're going to do!?" She says shakily, "Nothing now, Knux; get out of my way!" Knux then grasps her shirt and picks her up. She seems to whimper. Tears keep welling out of her eyes as Knux keeps threatening Precious. Knux still threatens, "You have a plan. I know it!" Precious cries, "No, Knux! No, I don't!" He still threatens, "You do. What is it!? Tell me every last detail of it!!" Precious now has no choice but to do that, otherwise Knux will assassinate her in cold blood if he doesn't hear her out! She currently thinks, "Wherever Sonette is, I'd hope that she's not with Knux on this!"

Meanwhile, at the Headquarters, it is 7:11 AM. Today is Gary's day-off and is on one of Knuckles' new computers, the Dimension 8200. Although no sound is coming throughout the speakers, he says, "Dang, that sound card is cool!" The fax phone then rings. Gary, about to answer it, Sonic turns around and yells, "Gary, wait!!" He didn't hear Sonic, so he answers it. "Yeah?" Sonic says to Tails, "The fax machine's noise in Gary's ears: 3, 2, 1... NOW!" It starts up. The usual faxing on the machine noise startles Gary when it comes in on the receiver! Gary almost immediately takes the receiver from his ear and drops it. He yells, "Oh, shoot!" Sonic laughs loudly, so does Tails. Sonic then says, "You should have listened to me! Why does no one listen to me!?" Knuckette has overheard the whole thing. The papers then come out. Gary says, "Four of them make a picture." Sonic says, "What? Just put them together!" Gary says, "Not yet!! Your impatient self!!" "What?" says Sonic in a confused way.
